We specialize in everything bridal but we will also provide tuxedos, bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses and mother of the bride/groom dresses. Our store carries a variety of different designers, some of which you will only find at our store. Not only can we offer you the best when it comes to your wedding dress and accessories - our licensed travel consultant, Adam, can also help plan a romantic destination wedding or the perfect honeymoon.

Terrible experience. We had our appointment set up more than a week in advance, and the minute we walked in the door they let us know what time we needed to leave the store by (which was earlier then the actual store closing hours). We received no help pulling dresses because the employees were too busy discussing their post-work plans. After being in the first dress for two minutes, I was asked if I was ready to try on the next one. If you’re a bride hoping to have any form of a positive experience, avoid this store at all costs.

Very disappointed. I try to support local businesses but this is not one of honesty or in the best interest of their clients. While I was shopping for a different wedding my bridesmaids dress was ordered two sizes too large for no reason they could tell me and was not given any price adjustment for otherwise unneeded alterations. When I was dress shopping for my own wedding I was pushed into many dresses dresses were being pulled out of my price range and the assistant was busy running several rooms.

I was with my granddaughter when she chose her dress & all was well. The bride is very petite & a size 0/00 but the smallest size they make is a a 2. We were assured by Rhonda that it was not a problem to alter it to fit my granddaughter. She (the bride) went in for her fittings as needed but became concerned that it was not fitting when she went for the last fitting, as in it was still too big on her & ill fitting. She was still told it would be altered to a good fit as the wedding was very close. She went to pick it up & wanted to try it on again at that time but Rhonda assured her it wasn't necessary & she didn't want my granddaughter to get it dirty. Well, the dress was still at least one size too large on her when she got dressed for the big day. The bride was so upset & crying & in a panic. Obviously she had to wear it but she did not feel beautiful or comfortable! It was so devastating for her! The waste fit her loosely & way to low & the neckline was messy & way too large on her! My granddaughter tried multiple times to call Rhonda after the wedding but never received a call back! The staff & Rhonda were nice & helpful but as the fittings went on, the customer service declined. I am writing this review as I paid for her dress as a wedding gift & I was very disappointed that my granddaughter's special day was spoiled as everyone noticed her dress did not fit well & it shows on the wedding pictures! That's a big deal for a bride on her wedding day! 😡

This place is wonderful! 

Just the way the store has things organized is brilliant. Bridal Elegance organizes dresses by cost and then by size so it was easy to find dresses in our price range and size. Not to mention they were having a great sale-so I got my dress an additional 20% off because I bought it off the rack as is. 

My stylist was Jan. She was wonderful!! She was very knowledgeable, made me feel very comfortable, and was very understanding when it came to price, and made sure everyone in my party (8 people) was happy with the dresses I was putting on. It was really a great experience from the minute I called...I had a terrible experience at Stacey's Bridal, and called begging them to let me try on dresses at their store. They graciously agreed, and got me in in 15 minutes. When we walked in we were greeted by the owner, and she got us some clips to allow us to walk around an clip the dresses we thought I'd look good in. Jan kept the dress trying on process fast paced, honest and great. We evaluated the dresses hanging before we even got started. She cleared out the ones that I didn't like or that were out of our price range. 

Every time I tried on a dress there was plenty of room in the dressing room to examine the dress before stepping out in front of my friends and family. There was a huge mirror in the fitting room that allowed guests to see the back of the dress when I came out and allowed me to get a good look before I stepping out. Whenever I had a dress that was a contender Jan brought a matching veil, or belt to dress things up a bit. She wasn't pushy about it at all, she just wanted us to get the entire effect, and she was spot on every time. 

After I picked out the dress, since I bought it off of the rack I was offered a free dress cleaning to be completed whenever I want before the wedding. 

All in all, this place is wonderful, and I will be recommending it to others!!!

The day I found my dress here was an amazing day and the girl who helped me, Brittany, was amazing. After this experience though, we ended up running into issues mainly due to miscommunication in the staff. There was lack of communication on when the money was due for bridesmaids dresses, making them come later than expected and we asked five times to send a color swash to a bridesmaid who lived farther away (never received it). The biggest concern I had was having to alter my wedding dress three times because it was too big. The last time was the worst, as the seamstress gave us a date to return to try on the dress one more time the week of my wedding. So, I come in the week of my wedding (we live in Cedar Rapids, so two hour drive), and the seamstress is not there, she is on vacation. Even though she specifically said to come in that day just in case it was still to big, so she could alter it right there and then. Needless to say, my dress was still too big and their back up seamstress had to come in and take the dress home to fix it. Thus, another trip up to Des Moines later that week, only a couple days away from my wedding day. The dress fits 90%, as in all night on my wedding day I was still pulling it up because it was still too big. On top of that, they tried to charge me for the last minute alterations. We told them “absolutely not” and took my wedding dress to wear on my day. So, I wouldn’t recommend coming here for your wedding dress. Possibly bridesmaids dresses but only if you don’t have to deal with alterations.
