At Brooklyn and the Butcher, we're taking everything you know about the traditional steakhouse and adding a fresh, modern spin.

While you won't find crushed peanut shells on the floor, we're proud to offer big, bold cuts of steak, fresh, housemade pasta, and unique varieties of wine and spirits from all over the world.

Every Wednesday we do 1/2 select premium bottles of wine. On Sundays, join us for the best brunch in town. Getting off work late? Come in and try our new, late night bar menu. It's superb food, folks.

I think the food was pretty good. The atmosphere was nice, and we didn't need a reservation this time. I had the scallops small plate as a starter, and the seared lamb for my main. I had personal issues with each that I will state, but understand the overall quality and taste was great. The scallops, one had some grit. Not pleasant, however the pilaf corn mixture had me intrigued from the first bite with a flavor I couldn't identify. The seared lamb, served medium rare, was delicious. The gastrique however was my company on this one. It was suppose to be a blackberry and rosemary complement to the lamb, but all I got was this intense vinegar smell that made me question the first carrot I put to my mouth.

The Sunday night "Square Deal" is a fantastic bargain! $40.00 is a reasonable price for all that is offered. The food was excellent. Service was exceptional. Overall we had a very enjoyable experience!

Best seafood I've had since moving to the area. The shrimp cocktail was just the right size, the lobster Mac and cheese was excellent. To top it off, the chocolate cake was the best way to finish the meal off. I'll definitely return to Brooklyn and the Butcher.

The food is worth the price.  This has been the best dining experience we’ve had in a long time.  For the majority of New Albany, this is an anniversary/birthday place, but if you can go, go.  The steak was so good as was everything else with our meal.  Igor suggested we try the banana fosters cheesecake, which, at first glance sounds terrible.  No one likes banana flavored anything except for serial killers and  some former Soviet block countries.  But this cheese cake was incredible!

Great atmosphere, a little loud but the food and drinks are amazing! They also have a very knowledgeable staff that are willing to accommodate you!
