Story

The birth of Floyd County Brewing Company was a natural collision of passions, experiences and call of duty to our community. We decided to take the proverbial fork in the road and take the road less travelled, invest our life savings, and do our part to help revitalize New Albany to the river town mecca it once was before steamboats faded away. We love our hometown and want to share our culinary and craft brewing passions with the community in a way that is hopefully unique and unforgettable.

We are like many, in that we come from small town farming and small business families. However, we have also been blessed to travel the globe developing an appreciation for all cultures with a keen fondness for European countries where Craft Beer became what we now know it to be. Sitting in a cozy pub on the shore of Ireland after getting engaged on the Cliffs of Moher hours earlier; we made the decision to focus on our passions and bring a touch of Old World Europe back home with us. You will see those influences in all that we do, from the Food, the Froth and the Follies.

Amazing beer, service, atmosphere and food! The food is just outstanding! The place gets busy so plan on stopping by for dinner on the weekends a little early. The staff is so friendly and if you have to wait just order one of the amazing beers. I recommend the Cloud 12. Very cool place that is a must visit in New Albany. The only downside is that the beers are 6$ so that sucks.

My fish and kettle chips were great. Loved the fish on toasted marble rye! The kettle chips are good with a bit more seasoning than I would choose but I am a bit bland. The fries have a very unusual seasoning on them and everyone at our table really liked them. Two friends shared the nachos with pork...it looked delicious and huge!!

Only one visit with my wife. We loved the atmosphere, very friendly efficient staff. I am not a beer connisuer (Sp) but I know what I like. The sampler of 4 beers was very helpful at a reasonable price! We both had fish & chips. The food was excellent. We were fully satisfied. We will be back Kudos!!

Food was awesome, highly recommend the zucchini. Fish and chips were amazing. first time here and definitely not the last. Great service from Melissa and Probably the most awesome atmosphere of anywhere around here

A good summary of this establishment is "mostly satisfactory". The FCBC beers are good representations of their respective styles, but don't make any kind of impact. Food-wise, my wife and I both ate the pretzel and beer cheese appetizer, which was pretty good, and the burgers, which again, were decent but unremarkable. The place is decorated in a medieval theme which adds some character, but as stated, there isn't anything here that would make it a "must visit" type of place, especially considering the travel time from Louisville's East End.
