I love going to Burt Brothers and tend to go there for most of my maintenance needs etc.  The staff and the quality of work completed has always impressed me. 
However, I will be thinking twice about returning after this last experience. I went in to get more coolant as well as a new battery. Although the lady at the counter wasn't too friendly, I didn't mind. It was after I left where I felt unvalued as a customer and actually had to spend more money to fix the issue. 

I drove about 10 blocks away and the car started smoking.  I immediately pulled over and then looked under the hood. There was liquid and smoke everywhere.  I looked in the coolant reservoir and there was no coolant so I knew the liquid leaking was coolant.  Very confused, I started looking around and barely touched (it was hot) the radiator cap to find out it was pretty much balancing on the threading and was not screwed on at all. 

When I called them to see if this is the issue, I was told to bring it down.  I told her (same lady as in store) I don't have coolant and don't feel I should drive but asked her opinion. After numerous holds she completely disregarded and stated to bring the car in as long as I had coolant in the reservoir and the car isn't smoking - the two exact problems I told her I did have. 

After more holds... Her best solution for me was to go get coolant and then drive back to the shop or if I don't feel safe, I need to tow my car in. How am I to go buy coolant if I can't drive the car? Why pay for a tow truck when the car was fine before they left the cap off? 

I finally got coolant, filled it, and made sure the radiator cap was secure.  I had to pay extra for this error and feel as though I was a problem and inconvenience for going to this shop and expressing my car had a problem after. 

Again, not the usual Burt Brothers experience but enough to deter me from returning unfortunately. (Thankfully I wasn't heading up for my daily drive to PC right then, my car would have been in bad shape!!)

I have been to all the major tire chains, and none were as good as Burt Brothers. They are competitive on tire and service prices. I have never waited an overly long time and they have the most genuinely friendly front desk. I have never felt rushed and always leave with helpful tips. Burt Brothers will always have my service because of the recommendations they have made to me, that didn't result in them getting more revenue. 

I highly recommend this business.

Due to a minor car accident my alignment was thrown off.  Burt Brothers was able to get me in and out quickly and clearly explained the issues that needed fixed.  Not only as my alignment off, but some parts were damaged.  They were able to get the part quickly and got it replaced so I could be on my way.

Dishonest. Very. Went there for a standard oil change based on Google reviews. Tried to get me to do a power steering flush. I already know about power steering and checked it myself. It was the right color and it was full. So I told them no on that service. Then they wanted to charge me $14 to replace a burnt out tail light. A tail light costs like $3 and it takes less than a minute to replace. I told them I would just buy it at O'Reilly and install it myself. I stopped at a Firestone close to my work on 3300 south and asked to borrow a screwdriver so I could install it. While I was there I asked the manager to check my power steering fluid to double check my opinion. He said it's perfectly fine and that a power steering flush is way unnecessary. Oh, and when I asked to buy a screwdriver he just offered to replace the bulbs for me... for free... which other shops have done for me in the past as well. My opinion of this place is that it is dishonest and plays on the naivete of its customers. I will not be going there ever again.

My shopping experience with Burt Brothers was quick, efficient, and pleasant. The sales rep was quick to identify my needs and recommend a solution. After the work was done he offered further explanation about the work that had been performed and the result. I appreciated his attitude and his effort to provide more than merely the minimum job requirement.
