I only discovered Cafe Zupas a few years ago and it quickly became my favorite place for food. I love everything I've ever tried there. I always get a Sandwich and Salad combo, but my wife always gets a soup and says they are amazing. Cafe Zupas seems to have this neat knack for taking food that I usually wouldn't even like (like olives for example) and combining them in a way that makes for a superior flavor experience.

The only reason I don't go here more often is because you pay more for this higher-quality food. Many times I sacrifice taste for the sake of my wallet. I would easily pick Cafe Zupas over more expensive places though.

The food here is delicious. I agree with others that their ordering process is weird but they do move you along quickly. I have always had great service when I've come here even when it's busy. They also have amazing desserts!

Amazing food, friendly staff. While I do prefer the Riverdale location best, Layton is a close second. As for the restaurant itself, even though its technically "fast food" its so fresh and delicious you'd never guess. I never leave saying "I wish I wouldn't have eaten that" like I do at normal fast food places. I brag to my out of state friends about Zupas ALL the time and take anyone who visits me to Zupas first. Not a single one has disagreed with me about how amazing it is. If you live near a Zupas and haven't gone you need to! You won't regret it. (I'm mildly obsessed with Zupas if you can't tell.) My personal favorites are the Turkey Spinach Artichoke, Chicken Chop Salad, and the Lobster Bisque. While I'm not much of a sweets person so I have not had their desserts myself. I hear they are "to die for" as well. That's my basic response when someone asks "what is Zupas?". I thought I'd share it here for anyone wondering if they should go.

Great employees! They work fast to get you great food and have a great attitude. Definitely worth a visit! I love their Enchilada Chili soup!

Zupas is good but everything seems to be going downhill. I remember back in the day when these guys were starting out, their soups were thick and creamy, their salads were so fresh you thought they grew the lettuce in the back, and their sandwiches were full of meat. Their half soup half salad combo was only $7.50. Now their soups are runny, salads are brown, and their sandwiches are paper thin. Not to mention they're $9+. The food is still pretty good. But just not worth it anymore. Rather go elsewhere.
