They went out of their way to help me. I couldn’t get help over the phone after many attempts, but all my problems were addressed by the office staff with one visit.
Why no phone number to the government building. Some people have to drive pretty far not even knowing if they can talk to someone. This whol system is flawed
I sent my state disability claim form in December 12,2022. I have talked to them which took many times calling before I could get through to be put on hold for two hours. Stated my doctor didn’t answer a question. Dr called. The worker did not take the information over the phone for some reason and mailed my dr a form to complete. I called after and they told me the doctor can give the information over the phone and couldn’t explain why the worker did not obtain the information. I had my doctor call again. This time they took the information and then stated I didn’t complete a question- which they never told me when I called previously. I have a copy of the completed form. The information is on there. SDI called me a few hours later and told me they have all the information needed and would process my benefits in 24-48 hours. That was yesterday. Tonight I get a notice saying they cannot process my claim because there is an unanswered question on the doctor portion. I am absolutely furious. It has been two months since I have been off work and no income. I have no money to buy food or pay my bills and do not need this added stress while I am very sick. The level of incompetence is astounding. I have no idea when I will get my benefits that I pay for. Absolutely ridiculous
I recd notice that I was on automatic payments. Had surgery and did not look online til my next payment was overdue. Online it stated awaiting my continued claim certificate...which never was sent to me not online nor in mail, so I had to call endlessly over 100 times 2 days in a row to get a form sent to me. I asked before hanging up with them, after receiving form, how long til paid? Was told 2-3 days. Filled form immediately upon receipt. Few days later I look and no change in status so again I called hundreds of times before getting a live person. She saw my paperwork and tried releasing payment, but said it would not go through so she tried a supervisor...none avail by phone so she emailed them. Told me they are quick to respond and would most likely be done by end of day, if not next business day. If not, call back.....so here I am Still calling and not getting through.... I have bills needing paid...can't get a live person to save my life!
This place has repeatedly told me I would be getting disability for my Maternity leave and has given me one days worth only. It's been 43 days since my claim was active and accepted. This is taking advantage of people when they are disabled and need assistance and there is nothing to be done about it. I may just eat the funds in court fines at least there would be justice served at that point. And the funds would be going where I know they are.
In and out really quick. Got all my questions and concerns answered. Awesome people!
Just like the rest of the people on this review section I have been trying to contact the office with no luck. It's almost like the system is set up to be as inefficient & ineffective as possible. Truly disgusting. I can't even get documents through SDI online, I have been trying to contact them since December 15th & no luck. They stripped me from my benefits because I failed to re-certify my medical certification but that is NOT true. Those documents were sent in.
People here are helpful and they are normally very quick in and out
Been trying to call for 4 days now weekdays and it says the maximum amount of callers has been reached each time then just hangs up. Nobody has called me back or even made an effort. People need help and they’re doing the bare minimum.
Have been on maternity leave since January 1st and have received a payment. I’ve tried calling for weeks now and it always says the maximum number of callers have been reached. It’s ridiculous! I’m so behind on every bill and to provide for my baby.
