Original family owners were Bud and Gail Reddick, then passed on to daughter Brenda Scharman in 1986 who is presently director, past state board chairperson, current Board of Directors of American Association of Cosmetology Schools and legislative chairperson for the Utah Beauty School Association.

I came here the other day to get my nails done (full set acrylic w/ shellac) and was VERY disappointed and unsatisfied. The lady who did my nails filed way too much and ended up cutting all of my fingers, in which made them BLEED and she didn’t care to apologize. My appointment was at 11:30 am and the lady doing my nails said she needed to leave at 3:00 pm.  Lady number one just filed my nails for THREE HOURS straight (no wonder they bled) and by the time it hit 3:00 pm, she passed me off to another student in which resulted in her painting my nails very sloppily. She got the paint all over my fingers, my nails were uneven and crooked, they don’t know how to do coffin shape, and this whole ordeal will take 5 hours!!!!!!! They didn’t end up finishing my nails until 5:00 pm.
This wasted my ENTIRE day. You would think that for five hours my nails would turn out perfect, but did they? No. They look atrocious, my 7 year-old sister could paint them better than these girls did. 

By the time they finished, my fingers were in excruciating pain and the tips of my fingers were purple.

So 1) they don’t finish what they start, in which resulted in 3 GIRLS doing my nails. 2) wasted my entire day 3) they don’t care about what you want— it’s all about what THEY want. And 4) the instructor/supervisor was not doing her job at watching her students, all she would do is walk in and out of the store without properly checking my nails. As the supervisor you'd think she'd be alarmed at the sight of my purple bleeding fingers. But she approved the job probably because she needed to leave. A school is meant for learning, which I understand but it's a Supervisors job to teach them appropriate techniques. These girls are supposedly going to graduate and be out in the real world doing nails from an accredited school? Mind boggling to me!

THIS PLACE IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, DO A HORRID JOB ON NAILS— they’ll have you walking out of here looking like a kid did your nails. I’m very disappointed. What a waste of money and time.

I LOVED my experience at Cameo. Great instructors and administration, plus it’s just a wonderful family business. The organization is involved in the community, and encourages their students to have a voice in the industry. I plan on being a student and patron for life! ♥️♥️

I’m currently a Cameo Student that wants to say this school is a wonderful choice for education in the beauty industry. 

At Cameo students obtain necessary skills but there is so much more: It’s a FAMILY! Everyone cares about one another especially, the owner Brenda gets to know students on a personal basis. Brenda cares deeply about her school and each student that attends. She is a hands-on owner, not a corporate name  

I want to give a shout out for my amazing Cosmetology instructors: Kara, Lorelei, Jade, Candice and Heather. Ladies your passion for hair  and dedication toward your mission shines through each and every day that you patiently work with your students. You are all very talented!!!

I’m so thankful to be a part of the Cameo Family. ❤️

What can I say about Cameo. I don't even know where to start. I had toured multiple schools prior to enrolling here and this is the ONLY SCHOOL where students had greeted me while I was doing a tour. On top of that, the office staff is so phenomenal. They did not push me to enroll here and laid out my student contract down to even the smallest of details. During my whole time here, I never had an issue with any of the instructors or staff. I personally believe that school is what you make of it. If you are there to learn, you are going to learn. If you are there to goof off, that's what you are going to do. I was there to learn, & I took advantage of every single learning opportunity Cameo offered to me as a student. Brenda, the school owner, & her daughter Rickie will personally go out of their way if you ever need somebody to talk to or need help with anything. All of the current and previous instructors that did help me as a student stopped whatever they were doing to assist me. Also, the financial aid office is great as well and really took time to help me with student loans. My experience as a student here was great, & I look forward to when I can start the Esthetics program. I should also add going from student to staff, this is a great working environment as well. Thank you Brenda for everything!

My girlfriend and I went here to receive a service a few days ago. That’s not what I am upset about, the service was performed great. I’m upset about the conversation that my girlfriend and I heard between a student and the instructor, Antonia. The amount of disrepect coming from the instructor to the student was baffling. I can’t believe they treat the students this way! Don’t ever let your family members or friends come to school here! Needless to say we will not be returning to cameo. The staff is incredibly rude to students until they see customers walk up, then it’s all smiles, of course. Baffled. I also watched a student wait for over 5 minutes for an instructor to sign a paper they had. Incredible.
