There are lots of great deals and there is a liquor store and gas station nearby. The main exchange is across the street, and if you're adding that to your trip, you'll have to cross the intersection. The commissary has sushi prep near the deli, which tends to be an impulse purchase at the end of a shopping trip. There is limited shaded parking around the palm trees and mostly one way lanes in the main lot.

Good selection, friendly deli and cashier. No organic veggies.... prefer old setup. Food items hav large separation.

They have a pretty awesome selection. Some food I can't find anywhere in town. I just wish they were open later.

This location is on base at Camp Pendleton so you have to have a military ID to get in base as well as check out at the commissary. You can use their rewards card for coupons or paper coupons here too. They have organic, international and the normal supermarket items here. They even have a small section for bulk sale items. The prices are good. Expect to tip the baggers if you are not in a self checkout. They have a bathroom in the commissary. The $0.10/plastic bag law does not apply to the commissary. Plastic bags are still free here.

The commissary provides great prices and friendly staff. If I could ask for one thing it would be a higher quality of beef in the meat section.
