We we're on our way to Yuma AZ when our electrical system quit. No slides, no landing gear, and etc. We called Tuscan Camping World. They fit us into their schedule for when we would arrive in the Tuscan area . Other Camping Worlds have only offered to work us in a week's time. When you are on the road we just can't wait a week. They were able to determine what the issues were and repaired the next day. All staff from service manager to service technician were very helpful and knew how to help.

On March 1st as we were closing the RV for a trip to Nevada, our 2014 Trilogy 3850RL main slide (20’ long) decided to malfunction. This slide has three (3) slide out rails. One is active (hydraulic operated) and the other two are tied to the first one via a drive line (shaft & gears). As the slide was coming closed, it started making a popping noise, which from previous experiences with this slide, indicated a gear was popping off its teeth. I was finally able to get the slide about 90% closed and had to travel that way looking for repair. We were on I-10, heading from Benson, AZ to Tucson, AZ. My wife started calling RV dealerships in Tucson looking for someone to help us out with a same day emergency appointment. Both Lazy-Days and La Mesa RV said sure we can get you in around the end of March (gee thanks). After calling a few more locations we were down to calling Camping World. Knowing Camping World’s reputation is about as low as the US Congress, we called since we were desperate. Surprisingly, they said sure, bring it in and they’ll take a look. We arrived at Camping World – Tucson about an hour later. We were greeted by a gentleman that was checking in Vehicles and we explained the situation. He sent out a service advisor whose name was Shay. After we explained the issue with the slide, Shay had a technician get right on it. Within an hour the problem was diagnosed and parts ordered. One of the gears for the slide was damaged and had most of its teeth missing. No surprise there. The part was ordered for overnight delivery. We spent the night in the Camping World shop area (fenced in). About 3 PM the next day, the gear pack arrived and the technician installed it. As he attempted to test the slide and adjust the timing for all three rails, another gear (active rail) popped a tooth. With no spares in stock and this being late on Friday we had to wait until Monday morning to order parts, which meant they would probably not arrive until sometime on Tuesday. So we spent the weekend at Camping World in our camper. Monday morning arrives and the parts department found two gear packs available in Phoenix. I offered to go pick them up myself since I am a Type A personality and wanted to get the camper back on the road as soon as possible. We made the 3.5 hour round trip to Phoenix and returned as John (the technician) was returning from his lunch break. I gave Shay the parts and the John got right on it. During the install (I had him also put a new gear pack on the one remaining rail) John found a tooth on the rail that was rounded and causing teeth to be stressed. He did some grinding on it to return it to a point, re-timed the slide and it now worked like it was supposed to. Camping World gave me a discount on the two gear packs that we went to Phoenix to retrieve. Kudos for that as I didn’t have to ask for it. My ONLY complaint is the price they charge for parts and for MISC SHOP SUPPLIES. In a couple words – rip-off! It is NOT Tucson’s fault, it is Camping World in general. Double the price for the gear packs you can find elsewhere. Overnight shipping was over $200 for one gear pack. Unreal. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t deny any business from making a profit. However, doubling retail prices and gouging for shipping and shop supplies is not acceptable. Overall experience with Camping World – Tucson was outstanding. The service advisor, Shay, kept me informed. His manager also stopped by on occasion to talk and ask how things were with us. They provided us a key to leave the facility at night and to get back in without issue. John the technician knew what he was doing and he did it very well. Kudos to Shay, John and the rest of the Camping World – Tucson staff for a job well done! John Hagen

Went to look at Toy Haulers. We were ignored when we walked in and then this guy Chase walks up and has no idea what is going on. Then he ask too many personal questions and handed us a brochure asking what floor plan we would like. When I told him how can I make a decision off of a picture he then says "oh you are the type that needs to see it" I thought that was ridiculous. Then he says"let me let my boss know I am leaving and I will take you out" My husband then told him never mind we are leaving , that there are other companies that would be glad to show us the product. Chase said "was it something I said". Seriously!!! Customer service and sales in there is a joke!! Will never return.

Watch out for the guy out front! He shows up at your door sounding like he's there to help, only to direct me 2 the equipment that I was looking for but the ones that need to be put on by the service department. He kept trying to talk me out of the ones I can install myself. Telling me they wouldn't fit. Perhaps because I'm a woman, and perhaps because I looked like a hippie, he thought he could manipulate me. Then what I bought what I needed, he told me I could not look to see if it fit on my vehicle in the parking lot. I was supposed to drive next door to the gas station, take my hubcap off, and see if my tire extender was the right size. I ignored him, checked the size, went back in the store and exchanged it for the one I needed. The only reason why I am giving this a 2 star rating, is because the man at the service desk was very helpful, even though he was very busy! He came around the counter twice and showed me the ones I can install myself and helped me figure out which one I needed. There is service, and there is Corporate molestation. I'm not interested in being molested. I took care of myself, but it is a sad reflection on Camping World that I have to expend extra energy to not be talked into something I don't need. I watched this same man walk around to other people and do the same thing. Beware! Know what you need, do your own research, and take care of yourself, because camping world is not going to.

We were very pleased with our experience. Our trailer needed immediate work while traveling, and Camping World was able to get us in right away. Doug (in the service department)was very clear about what needed to be done and even supplied us with pictures! We had everything fixed and were back on the road the same day.
