Story

The Canal Park Brewing Company is an owner-operated brewpub with a full restaurant menu. Our goal is to create curiosity in craft beer styles by brewing consistently epic batches and to bring people back to our hometown, Duluth, year after year. We are committed to putting unique beer styles on tap by using the best local & sustainable hops, grains, malts and other ingredients, when available. Enjoy your next brew with us and enjoy delicious eats and beautiful views of Lake Superior. Indoor seating and outdoor patio with fire ring!

A Northcoast attitude runs through all of our brews and we seek smart and complex flavors whilst always striving for balance. Our beers will be available only at the Canal Park Brewing Company, in the heart of Canal Park on Lake Superior and we will of course offer growlers for customers to drink our beer at home. Great beer selection. The looked fantastic (I wasn't able to try it for myself). Staff was super nice was more than willing to make a great recommendation for the food or beer menu. Seriously a great place. It was very clean. Nice and clean restrooms.

If you like craft beer, you will enjoy Canal Park Brewery. We frequent here often to grab a beer and hit the patio which includes a fire pit overlooking a portion of the lake.. I've met so many interesting people while sitting at the fire pit, a highlight in itself! The food is average. In the summer, they have bags outside for entertainment. Overall a fun place to hangout close to the canal scene.

Always a must when we come into town 2-5 times a year with the dogs from the Twin Cities . The food is great and the beers are tasty. Love how clean the place is and friendly the staff treats us. Portions are large and the bar food has a nice fresh spin on the classics. The food is prepared to better standard than any other american style bar in the whole area. The beer selection is very well rounded without overdoing it. Beer should be chug-able not difficult. Don’t forget the gift shop. My Columbia Canal Park Brewery half zip is my favorite base layer. Never disappointed.

My friend and I visited the brewing company about a week go. We decided to have our pit stop here because it was dog friendly on the patio. Although I know me and my friend showed up later in the evening, we were told that we would have to come in and order food and drinks. This was fine. What I did not expect was to be blatenly ignored by one of the bar tenders for over 10 minutes. Let me make this more clear, she made direct eye contact with me and proceeded to walk away to help other customers. This is extremely rude as it was late and I wanted to order two beers and an appetizer and then get back on the road. I felt as if I were "bothering" her. Finally, the second bar tender came over to take my order. I ordered two of their beers (their hard apple cider and pear cider) and the lettuce wraps from their appetizers. The beer was good and the appetizer was great. At least we didn't have to wait long for the food. In all, I probably wouldn't come back again

Many great options for beer and burgers. Definitely try a flight of beers so you know what to fill a growler with on your way out. The patio is great for either lake or people watching, and it's easy to stop by after a trek down the lakewalk. In the summer there aren't any happy hour specials, but the loyalty program is pretty decent.
