Love love love Captain Cookie! Been going there for year. $5 gets you a giant ice cream sandwich with whatever 2 cookies you want to make the sandwich. Totally worth it. They rotate a variety of interesting ice cream flavors and cookies. The atmosphere of the place is great too, they have a (small but) very cool seating section above the shop. They’re always blasting great music too, I’ve sat there for hours with friends talking and just enjoying the music & sweets. Only complaint is that sometimes the cookies are inconsistent, some days they’re crunchy, other days they’re soft and gooey. They’re great either way though.

Yes, there are cookies and ice cream and that’s cool. But honestly, I’ve had sooooo much better. There are places that serve fresh baked, warm cookies, and this place cannot compare. I heard a lot about this place and it’s just...pretty good ice cream and pretty good cookies. It’s good...just nothing special. I also could NOT hear myself think with that music blasting.

The recipient of the cookie order loved the cookies. Lots of variety and packages to choose from. The day they were delivered, Captain Cookie was very busy, but they were very communicative of the timing with me. When there was an issue with the processing of my order, the staff and owner were responsive and diligent in getting the issue resolved timely. Great service and a great product!

Small place, and they had good ice cream and cookies, but there is nothing unique or special here, other than the fact that it is open later than most.

This is an amazing dessert place. Located near Foggy Bottom, to satisfy any dessert cravings please come here! They have build your own cookie sandwiches and they are always quick to order.
