Significantly more expensive for camp site as compared to most other RV parks in NC/SC. But they do have clean, well maintained facilities along with a pool and access to a shuttle service to the park. Mid to late August and weekdays are going to provide the least crowded time in the campground and definitely at the water park/coaster park (zero wait all day when here). Will do again! 

Pulled 30 ft travel trailer. Pull thru slots (as are most others) are paved but short, so tight when wanting to have space to pull your vehicle alongside your unit. Easy in. Easy out. Easy back up slots too.

 Nice grounds. Complete amenities in an excellent location - close to the park.  Check in staff extremely polite and helpful.  Especially the Woman (I wish remembered her name).

We have Carowinds season passes and come to Camp WIlderness with our RV 4 to 6 times a season and spend the whole weekend. We love it there. The Staff is always very friendly and helpful. I saw a negative review about the cabins, which I have had friends come down and stay in, and if you expect a "cabin" to comfortably house 8 people then you're a little out of touch with reality. The word "cabin" pretty much says it all. If you rent a cabin and expect the Ritz-Carlton, you're setting yourself up for a big letdown. Just saying.

Great camp ground.  Good staff.  Bathhouse is clean and modern.

Campground is very nice. Only complaint is regarding the shuttle bus to and from park. You never have to wait long to get there but getting back to Campground it's always well over the 30 mins at the most. Last night we ended up walking back after waiting over 45 mins.
