By far my favorite place.
Bring a tube. Walk up the river trail and then float back down. Great exercise. Great fun.

Too much development around the upper parts of the trail near the Pump House. Do we really need more cookie cutter neighborhoods? Other than that the trail itself is nice for running and taking a stroll with the dog. Nice kayak landing, but the smell located downstream due to the wastewater treatment plant and US Foods may turn off some.

This "park" is poorly maintained and inconveniently located. If not for access to the Piedmont Medical Center trail (which now continues to this area), it would not be worth going. The dirt road is narrow and, on the weekends, there are far too many cars blocking access. Although the area has signs indicating that "alcohol is prohibited" beer cans litter the parking area. The two porta-potties are terribly exposed. Sad that the city would put their name on such a place.

Smell from the treatment plant and the construction at the entrance was the negatives. But the trail is good for walking, jogging and biking. Has bike trails to, which I will try next time.
