Catherine’s Health Center is a safety net clinic practicing family medicine. Offering screening, treatment and health education, we’re part of the solution to the problem of access to health care in Grand Rapids.
Our namesake, Catherine McAuley, lived in the late 1700s, established the Sisters of Mercy and dedicated her life to serving the poor. We are a non-sectarian, non-discriminating provider and we model our service philosophy on Catherine's practices.
We offer navigation services to objectively assist people in gathering information to make informed choices about their health care coverage. We participate with select third-party payment plans. Our clinic is housed in a LEED Gold certified, re-purposed wing of the former St Alphonsus Elementary School in northeast Grand Rapids.
Our primary audience includes people living in the Creston and Belknap Lookout Neighborhoods; our secondary audience includes at-risk, resource challenged people in Kent County.
We serve the community through the generosity of those who share our belief that no one should have to choose between life's necessities and basic medical care.
Open Doors ~ Quality Care
