We went here and were pleasantly surprised. The place is a small dive bar however the food and service was really good. I have a gluten allergy and the cook came out to work with me on a custom meal based on what I wanted. The food was really good and the prices were very reasonable for the portion of food.Food: 5/5
What a horrible experience. We didn’t order dinner because the bartender was so morose. She was unhappy and made me want to leave. I couldn’t tell you how the food is because we waited a long time for just a drink. $9.75 for a mixed drink at a dive bar is outrageous. Lots of potential but a miserable experience for my husband and I. I won’t be back
We walked out tonight. What clientele do you want? Loud, yelling ongoing at the bar. Another patron left as well. Not a place to sit and have dinner unless youre a drinker and love a loud place full of yelling. This was our second attempt. Was there few weeks ago. Same thing.
Not all that it's cracked up to be first thing I see while walking in the door is a guy in the kitchen lighting up a Marlboro Ultra Light smoking in the kitchen there is other restaurants around

Went there for dinner on a Sunday night as a family. The place is run more like a bar with a side room as a restaurant. The decor seemed reall6 simple. The waitress was prompt taking our order and bringing out the food. The food was hit and miss. Tha nachos plate for an appetizer was ok. The pastrami sandwich and steak tips were great but the lasagna was barely OK. The rack of ribs was not properly cooked and tasted rather bad. I would definitely come back for sandwiches and beer but not for dinner.
The bartenders at this place are the rudest people I’ve ever come across. They are “cold”, ignore you, they act like everything they do for you is a favor, they openly complain about what visitors tip them so everyone can hear, they make fun of patrons after they leave and yes everyone can hear the rude remarks about people’s image etc... I wasn’t even sitting at the bar but witnessed and heard all of this. I’m sorry to say that if this establishment doesn’t hire better employees they will start to lose business even faster than they seem to be. I doubt I’ll be back... I can only assume that they made fun of me after I left too after seeing this happen to basically everyone who came and went during my visit. It’s a shame how badly these ladies represent a staple of Mansfield. The place could do so much better.
I'm from a ways away in Erie, Pa. Came through for one night. I liked it here. Basicly locals; friendly bartenders. People seemed really nice. Recommended for a comfortable bar experience.

I was a patron at the Catman about 4 weeks ago. The service was impeccable and since they have coped with these new COVID rules, the place was extremely clean and comfortable. I did not feel as if there was one germ or dust particle in the place AT ALL!!! The staff were as usually very hospitable and friendly. The tables are spaced out and ALL staff is masked up as appropriate. They even made a very convenient window placed close to the bar to turn out food and lessen the transit time from the kitchen to bar. I was very impressed with the modifications they have made, and their food is still the great quality and expectation that is representative of their menu, as well as past experience. It is also STILL a great place to grab a drink with friends. I look forward to many more times at the Catman.
