Honestly, the worst insurance agency I have ever been with. Adding or removing a car becomes the most complicated thing ever with this agency. I removed 2 cars and 2 drivers and sent proof of new insurance and 3 weeks later I’m getting emails about monthly amount being due and it was the same as if nothing had changed. Each month we never knew what our policy would be as it would fluctuate. For over 20 years I was with Progressive and you get a payment schedule and it’s the same for 6 months ...no such concept with State Farm. Granted we added 2 cars and 2 new drivers, but after adding the 2 drivers we had 3 months where our payment ranged from $450-$740. The agents seem nice enough, but something is lost in translation with this office. Once they even said we would get a $220 credit, only to be billed more...it’s like the Twilight Zone of billing and technology at this office. I’m so thrilled I don’t have to deal with them anymore.

For my accident they did an awesome, so I will give them that. BUT My mother and I have been fighting a payment issue for forever it seems. They LOSE payments and then try to charge you for a double payment and threaten cancellation. So as I write this I am looking for NEW insurance.

I filed a claim with State Farm on Wednesday, June 15th 2016 for minimal damage to a 2009 Honda Civic. The damage consisted of a broken driver's window, a broken driver's sideview mirror, and a scratched front driver's side quarter-panel. Although the damage was minimal, the driver's side window was broken out. In sweltering summer heat and daily thunderstorms, State Farm insisted that instead of immediately fixing the window (I was at SafeLite at 1:30pm on Wednesday with an emergency appointment) that they would send an adjuster out in three to five business days. Only after I pitched a fit repeatedly via their horrid 800-number claims division on Friday, June 17th, did State Farm agree to finally send a wrecker for my car and a rental, as both are included in my premium policy. On Friday night, the 17th, I remained where I was instructed to wait off of Morrison Ave in downtown Charleston for the arriving tow truck and rental car, neither of which ever showed. When I phoned Enterprise on Meeting Street not far from Morrison, chosen for it's close proximity to my location, they told me they would not be picking me up due to the nature of their location, staff, and hours, and that State Farm should have let me know and/or made other arrangements. Mind you, during this experience, whenever I phoned State Farm Claims to find out what the delay was or to raise Cain that the rental nor wrecker was there yet, I had to get back into the waiting queue and start the story over from square one with whatever "Good Neighbor" I got on the line. Today is the 12th of August 2016. I still do not have my car back. I have filed multiple serious - and seriously detailed - complaints with the State Farm Executive Headquarters. For the past weeks, my claim has been handled exclusively by Kimberly Chung of the executive office, something Charles Chitwood should have done himself. Prior to lodging any complaints "above his head" I phoned and granted he and his office the courtesy of "extinguishing the fire." His office let me know that he was in the building, but unable to take the call. He never called. Ever. Not from the 15th of June through today, the 12th of August. In direct response to the handling of this claim, my parents (differing last name) moved all of their account from Charles Chitwood's office. Can you believe that Charles took the time to phone them personally to leave a message requesting a call back when he caught wind that some accounts walked out!? He still hasn't phoned me, and I can guarantee you that my parents won't be returning his call, either. I believed I had paid my premium policy on time, in full, every month, for years on end to enjoy a premium insurance policy and premium customer service. I was sorely mistaken. It has cost me money, countless hours, and unimaginable grief. "Good Neighbor Service" ... good riddance! Spare yourself the trauma, drama, and spare your own mama by checking out the other State Farm agents in the area if you insist on the brand. Charles and his office have compromised the State Farm brand at every turn.

I give it a one because thats what it deserves. Not for the employees but the agent. Shame on you
