Story

The History of Charlie's Jewelry
Charlie's was founded by Charlie Peddicord, in 1989-2010. Charlie passed away March 5, 2002 and the business was operated by his son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Katie until 2010. CHARLIE'S IS OPENING ONCE AGAIN! Charlie's is now under the ownership of two former longtime employees; Susan Hutson (25 years) and Liz Fulcher (20 years). Joining us will be our friend and co-worker, Joyce Sibilla, who has been with us for 15 years. We are thrilled to be back and are excited about continuing Charlie's legacy. We are in a new location, but that same belief and philosophy that made Charlie's so special is still here:

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't take your jewelry for repairs here!!!!! It is not the same place since the original owner died. The person that most recently was doing repairs for them on site died in April. They no longer have a laser machine, they sold it to keep the business a float. They now take your jewelry to a female for repair. I had two items from my mother's collection. One was a mystic topaz journey pendent 14k gold. Wanted it made into a pendant and earrings. Picked lever back for the earrings. Other item was pearl earrings that one of the hoops had bent. OK so it took two weeks come in back. They drop off on Friday and pick up on Friday only to this repair female. When I went to pick items up the mystic topaz earrings was made with defective gold wire. It would not close probably,it was strained with no use! Then my pearl earrings had been destroyed! They claim it was two types of hoops, different sizes! Total lie! The repair person most likely broke original then replaced it with a 20 gauge wire that is not used on earrings! It is my hope the owners really didn't know about this and were not a part of this deception. Left items again, she allowed me to take pendent, which diamond chip was no longer intact. Went to pick my items up two more weeks, which was a total of four weeks now. My earrings did have the correct lever back now but my pearl earrings were still destroyed. They offered me to pay $50 more and they would put the gold wires on that they charged me $100 for the other earrings! Body of the earrings also looked like they had been opened. Question if pearl had been tampered with and needed to be polished because two areas of tarnished noted after their destruction of my earrings. Please note they gave me no CREDIT for the gold between my journey pendent, which was probably worth at least $75 . I know they use to do this before because I had emerald earrings made and received credit. Also recently had dental work and they even give you credit for old crowns!!!!! I realize this is a long review but felt it was very important to share so others would not experience the heartache I did. A couple years ago they referred me to another jewelry who actual use to work for them Simply Unique. They have my pearls now for repair but I know they will do a fantastic job because they just made four leaf clover earrings into pendents for my girls and they are beautiful!
