Luckily, I rarely have to go inside this branch.  However, today I made the trip with my little girl to open her a savings account.

When we arrived I stated that I would like to open an account and was told to take a seat.  After waiting a few minutes, a teller approached me and asked what type of account I would like to open.  When I told her it was a savings account for my daughter, she immediately tried to weed me out by asking "Do you have her social security number?"  Since this wasn't my first rodeo, I told her I had the SS card, birth certificate, and anything else they may want.

Upon hearing this, she then changed strategies, saying "well, it normally takes about half an hour to open an account, and  is with a client right now."  She feigned "checking with" him and said "sorry, he's shaking his head..."  This is despite the fact that we arrived at the bank at 5:34, near 1/2 hr before closing time.  (Spoiler alert: it doesn't take that long to open a simple savings account, or at least didn't the last time we did the same exact thing).

I do NOT appreciate the runaround, nor being coldly dismissed with the 'shake' of a banker's head.  I took off work early to make it to the bank well within their stated hours, so I'm rightfully upset over how this was handled.  This teller was clearly searching for a reason - any reason - to send us away since it was later in the day and this was (obviously) not an important account to them.

We have multiple accounts here due to the close proximity to our home. 
 That is the _only_ reason we have accounts here.

This is a horrible bank as far as Chase branches go. The tellers are rude and ignorant to their job. The branch manager is equally arrogant and freely interprets Chase company policy incorrectly.

We typically go to the Bellevue branch and have had good experiences, but one trip to this branch and I am seriously considering moving my accounts (2 businesses, 3 credit cards, 2 personal accounts) to another bank.

I attempted to call the 800 number for Chase to inquire after my visit and they hung up on me. 

I think my advice would be to try a different bank. Chase has very limited branches in NKY anyhow.
