We are a Chocolate Bistro featuring handcrafted chocolates and fresh, local ingredients.

Story

Formerly known as CBC Chocolates, the company started in 2005 as a small operation selling chocolates at the local Farmer’s Markets. We moved into a portion of our current location in 2007. We had our chocolate production kitchen in the back and a small retail area in the front. Starting with 5 truffles and 2 barks, our chocolate production has expanded to include over 20 different chocolate confections. All of our chocolates are made by hand here at ChocMo. We offer an array of different truffles, barks, sea salt caramels, peanut-butter cups, chocolate bars and more.

In 2011, we had the opportunity to take over a 2nd portion of the building. We shut down for a few months and remodeled our space, rebranded ourselves and reopened as ChocMo. ChocMo (chocolate& more) is THE Chocolate Bistro. We serve simple, inspired menu items using only the freshest ingredients available. We take pride in serving only the best ingredients to our customers.

Mission

ChocMo (formerly CBC Chocolates) was founded in 2005 by then 15 year old Peter Crabtree, after taking a Culinary Arts class at West Sound Academy. Peter grew the chocolate business throughout high school; opening the first retail shop in this same location in 2007. In April 2011, Peter re-opened as ChocMo after an extensive remodel.

We still make all the chocolates by hand right here in the store, and are extremely committed to using local, sustainable ingredients whenever possible. To that end, we feature nuts from CB’s, Salmon from Crimson Cove, and all the beef on the menu comes from our own cows, raised in Kingston.
