"Rain-worn wood, saltwater scents, and the sounds of the bay accompany this classic waterfront family restaurant. Food was terrific. The view is beautiful looking out on the water. They do have a balcony for outdoor seating. Wait staff was responsive and friendly. Food took a little while to cook. I loved that they are pet friendly and brought out bowls of water for four legged friends. They made a mistake with our order by accidentally giving the wrong dish however they honored the price of the less expensive dish due to their error.

Food is good. Your usual seafood fare with the exception of the crabcakes which are excellent. Opens up to the outdoors with a view of the water in warmer weather. Casual atmosphere. Food 6/10, service 5/10, atmosphere 6/10.

We have been to JJ’s a number of times. It is family friendly. The food is very good. The restaurant is clean and the staff is helpful. The decor is on the casual side.

Five stars needs an explanation, we had great food, fantastic service, shared well chosen drinks and had the view of a lifetime. However, to put all of that in perspective we came at 5 PM on a weekday after Labor day, the place was not busy. The greeter was friendly, our dog was allowed on the porch, they even brought him a bowl of water. For drinks, we tried the Raspberry Ice Tea, (not too sweet) and a glass of the Balancing Act Chardonnay, (which is really good, we are going to keep an eye out for a bottle). Kathy couldn't decide between the clams and mussel steamers, so they offered half and half, the broth was fantastic, very flavorful broth. I went with the crab cakes and was not disappointed, the seasonal veggies were perfect as well, nobody likes soggy squash and the kitchen seemed to realize that. If I was to complain about anything, two things would have put the icing on the cake. Someone came by to take out the trash, (multiple restaurants share the porch), passed right by us and as soon as they did, we had flies bothering us for the rest of the meal, (how hard would it be to take the trash out the back of the restaurants, not passed the diners). The sourdough bread was as tasty as any I have ever had, but it wasn't baked that day if you get my drift. Still, we had a great time and would certainly go back when in Poulsbo.

Really disappointed! The calamari and caesar salads were great and I was so excited for the fish and chips entree...but the fish was terrible. It was dry and so overcooked. The fries were good. My son got a burger and said it was great. Just really surprised for a "fish house" the fish part was not up to par! I was kind of mad when I got the bill too - pretty pricey for not great quality.
