This might be a five star breakfast, but it was a 3 star lunch and the menu was mostly breakfast. I had the cod, Kathy had the salmon, both moderately tasteless, the vegetables were cooked into oblivion. We both had the "Yellow bowl" salad, iceberg lettuce meets canned black olives with giant croutons. I like the atmosphere, service was prompt, should have tried the pancakes!

Totally yummy brunch in a lovely bldg with a lodge feel and beautiful touches including hammered copper sinks and great tile. The walls are covered with stupendously gorgeous photos of the natural beauty of the Puget Sound.

Punched "breakfast" into Google when I had some time to kill in Poulsbo this morning. This place looked like a small, charming diner from the photos and website and loving breakfast food I had to give it a try. In reality this place feels more like a chain big chain diner. The building is nice. The service was great. I ended up being incredibly disappointed with the food, though. I ordered one of my favorites, biscuits and gravy. The menu described them as flaky biscuits. The biscuits tasted like they were out of a can and undercooked. They were not flaky or chunky at all. They were almost gooey in the center like a dinner roll. The amount of gravy was laughable. It literally wasn't enough to even cover the top of the biscuits. Maybe a teaspoon full each. There was also maybe four chunks of sausage in the gravy between both biscuits. Overall it was a very disappointing breakfast. If you order something decent it might be a nice place. The biscuits and gravy were enough to make me not want to give it another try though.
