I can whole-heartedly recommend Christensen Auto in Gardnerville.  I recently took my car in for some engine maintenance work, and the work was done professionally and timely.  I don't regularly go there for service, as I do most of my own work.  The car was even returned to me with an extra touch of service (thoroughly washed and vacuumed, at no extra charge, which surprised me), and even without that courtesy, I felt I paid a fair price for the parts/labor that was done.  Far better service and value than you would ever find at a dealer.  Go see 'em, you won't be sorry.

We were from out of town visiting relatives when we noticed our engine making a odd rattle. They got our car in fast, got the part quickly and Installed early the next morning. Coming in under estimate says something, too, I think. Very knowledgeable and professional. (Warranty applies to all NAPA Care repair centers back at home, too.)

Cant believe this place...i was told my headgasket was blown and the repairs would be close to 15000, claiming the radiater and everything needed to be replaced also..this was devistating, I even lost my job as a result asuming the car was toast...am I ever so glad I got a second opinion!!! At golden nugget auto they fixed and confirmed it was just a broken water pump...a 200 dollar fix..its been over a year, and even after my oil change today I was told everything looks great and it runs awesome. The ppl at christianson were nice and I genuinely believed them but it wouldve been the ultimate rip off and I wouldve junked a good car for nothing!!! A warning to the wise to get a second opinion!!!
