Let me start by saying it is the excellent staff that earned this review. The Clarion itself is an average 3 star hotel at below average prices for the area. The rooms are clean and the free breakfast is a nice touch and done very well. The staff were incredible for our visit. We had a large block of rooms for a wedding, and had guests arrive early before check in and at any other hotel they would have been out of luck. Deb McClintock, Heather, and Alan went above and beyond their job duties to accommodate our guests. They kept us informed of everything going on, provided a shuttle to our wedding even when we were running late, and kept positive attitudes the entire time. The staff really just went above and beyond throughout our stay to make things go smoothly for about 25 rooms of our guests. I couldn't be any happier and am really appreciative of their services. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and their staff for any event in the Harrisburg area. They've earned my business going forward.

Hotel is in a good location. However, the AC did not work and we were double charged for our room fee. This is was eventually sorted out, but was still a hassel. The attached bar and restaurants were convenient and pleasantly staffed.

I needed to check in early as I had to go somewhere, and wouldn't be back until the early hours of the morning, I was aware the room was not ready but the staff allowed me to check in anyway. Which was wonderful! When I got to my room, in the early hours, it was clean and ready. The bed was comfortable, and I fell fast asleep. They allowed me a late check out, which was a great help also! Very accommodating!! Lovely place!!

We work on the road and live in a hotel 5+ days a week, so when we booked our rooms here we were displeased that the rooms do not include a refrigerator unless you book a king room with only 1 bed. The lady at the front desk (Kim) took it upon herself to make sure that refrigerators were delivered to our rooms while we took the time to enjoy the resturaunt/bar with an excellent menu and choice of drinks. I do recommend this hotel to people staying in the area

We were disappointed to find out that we had to pay extra for a mini fridge, but with two small kids on a long road trip we needed it so whatever. But then we took those same two small kids to the pool, their reward for a long day in the car and the pool was gross. The water was so cloudy you could barely see the bottom and there were no pool towels, but we went in anyway and not 5 steps in the pool I stepped on something slimy. I grabbed the skimmer and lifted out a big ball of poop. I called to a nearby custodian and showed it to him and he barely said anything, no apology. So we hauled the screaming toddler out and left the hotel to find one with a clean pool. I was given a print out showing we were not charged for the night but as of right now there are two different charges sowing as pressing in our bank account. Would never go again.
