I can not say this enough; their food is so so good. I got the I believe killer bake potatoe, and it was huge. But the three meats had so much juice in them, not dry at all. A must try! Staff very friendly. I have eaten there several times and turned so many of my friends on to this place.
A local, small drive-thru bbq joint. We have been twice. Location: Kind of awkward, located on a one way street. It took us a moment to figure out how to pull in, luckily there was a truck in front of us going there too so we followed. Its almost like you pull in backwards, facing the opposite way of the oncoming traffic. Their parking lot/drive-thru needs repair; there are many potholes. Service: Very friendly. The drive-thru window is really high, so if you come in a car it is kind of awkward to order; a truck is the height of the ordering window. We came in a car. They offered a menu to look at. I'd say it takes about 10 minutes per car to pull up, order, and receive food. Timing also depends on how quickly a person looks at a menu and decides. This is a location I wouldnt mind the "pull forward" method so cars behind can put in their order too and they bring out the food. Food: Their menu offered many selections. Brisket, pulled pork, sandwiches, potatoes, tacos, and nachos, hot dogs, sausage, ribs, baked beans, mac & cheese, etc. Reasonably priced. We ordered the brisket potato and sandwich. Both were good- we loved their bbq sauce! I did find myself adding salt, pepper, and more sour cream to my potato. We tried this place a second time- brisket nachos and mac & cheese. The nachos were great, but we did not like the mac & cheese and that's my fav food. It was very sticky and lacked flavor. The most confusing part is the menu they advertise on Facebook does not 100% match the menu at the location i.e. different pricing and not all menu items listed. Overall, it's a decent place to try. I really hope this place grows. This is a place I would love to sit down and eat at the location rather than just drive-thru only.
Excellent food. We got the smoked brisket. So, so, so good! I just wish they would slice it into thinner pieces. I bought 1.5 pounds and received 2 large hunks of brisket in the container. The staff was very friendly.
This is the best barbecue around!! The brisket literally falls apart and has the best flavor. It's so juicy!! The potato salad is to die for. You must try them out! You will not regret it!!
in my opinion they have the best brisket in town nice thick cut portions and if they trim the fat they do not trim much has lots of Smokey fat flavor and it's never been dry whatsoever and their smoked ribs are pretty much the bomb too
We drove from the Fort Polk area to come try this place today! I have heard great things about the bbq here, it has good reviews, and I love BBQ. I have social anxiety and enjoying looking at the menu before I arrive to my destination. Just so I know what I'm ordering and it's an easy process. However, the menus online, and on facebook are incorrect. You really don't know what's on the menu until you arrive. When I did arrive the lady at the window wasn't to friendly, but no big deal. We ordered one 2 meat plate, 1- Pulled Pork sandwich meal, 1- pulled pork quesadilla totalling $43.77. The price for the quesadilla was $14 the two meat plate was $18. I do think it's a bit pricey for a quesadilla but it's a small business and meat prices are high currently so whatever. We get our food and I'm about 95% sure the beans, BBQ sauce, and cookie are just store bought. So that was disappointing. The pulled pork sandwich bun was so soggy we pulled over to eat as soon as we got our food that it all just completely fell apart. The pulled pork really didn't have any flavor at all and the bbq sauce that tasted like Kraft bbq sauce didn't help with it. The quesadilla for my son was so soggy and greasy the bottom of the tortilla wouldn't hold up. I order BBQ sandwiches and quesadillas from a local BBQ place 30+ minutes out and have never had this issue. The 2 meat plate was just as bad with the ribs tasting so much like lemon and maybe grass? I just couldn't with it. The brisket tasted exactly like my meat I put in roast. While I know roast meat and brisket are considers roast. I have never had a brisket so greasy, fatty, and just plain nasty. The potato salad has either honey mustard of dijon mustard. I wasn't expecting that was wanting more of a traditional potato salad. The mac N cheese was good! It wasn't to cheesy and I prefer it that way. My husband who has never thrown away BBQ had to throw his food out. I ended up doing the same. It was really that bad. I really wanted to love this place, and my friends have all raved about it. I was expecting great BBQ. Not sure if it was just a bad day or not. If you are looking for good authentic BBQ this is not the place to go!
Love Clark's COOKOUT Great food Fast friendly service Highly recommend thank you !! Weston
This place seriously has the best BBQ ever. I've lived in Texas for years and they are known for having some of the best BBQ and Clark's blows them out the water every time. The owner is an awesome guy who will take care of whatever needs or concerns you may have and the food speaks for itself. Definitely worth trying if you pass by.
If you’re looking for great service and great quality BBQ you will not be disappointed with Clark’s Cookout. The portions are large, I could barely finish my brisket plate and all the sides! I had the green beans and potato salad, it also came with a Texas toast garlic bread, cookie and drink. I love delicious BBQ, and anytime I’m in the area, Clark’s is always where I want to go! Please check them out y’all!
Tried Clarks Cookout for the first time today. I had the Brisket, Pulled Pork and Sausage. It was absolutely amazing. The Barbeque sauce is so damn good too. We will be going back for sure. Loved the food so very much! Good work! Highly recommended!
