Lauer has refinished 3 projects for us. Each has been completed beyond our expectations. Even a table so badly damaged that we thought it would never look good came out beautifully.

I found Lauer Furniture Restoration during a web search of antique furniture restoration companies. There are very few antique restoration companies out there so I took a chance on Lauer. I drove 2+ hours, each way, to deliver and pick up my grandmother's antique rocking chair. My experience with Lauer was phenominal. Mike did a fabulous job restoring, refinishing, and re-upholstering my rocking chair. When I walked in and saw my "new" chair I was astounded when I saw the excellent workmanship and the beautiful new upholstery. I will now enjoy my rocking chair for many more years! The work Lauer does is incredible; they take very old & worn furniture and give it a new life for many more years of use and enjoyment. Thank you Mike!!

We were very pleased with the workmanship and repair on our bench. The bench dates from around 1860 and one of the legs was broken during our last move. The pine wood was matched perfectly and the bench is as sturdy as ever. The estimated time needed for repair was reasonable and accurate.

My antique dining room table was in horrible shape after a do-it-yourself attempt at staining. Mike from Lauer did an AMAZING job. The table required new veneer and staining. I couldn't be more please with the end result.

We have an 18thC Chippendale desk that has been in the family since it was purchased new in the 1790's. About 50 years ago, my parents had the desk refinished with disastrous results (the original Mahogany was dipped in polyurethane.) Since then it had suffered a number of additional insults, including a broken-off leg. Mike removed the polyurethane, and redid the finish in a traditional hand-rubbed shellac with a final wax that gives the piece a beautiful, lustrous glow. He repaired the legs, polished the hardware, and refitted the interior drawers. My wife and I are delighted by the results, which are far better than we expected. It's beautiful work, and something only a true craftsman could accomplish. I feel very comfortable giving Lauer (and MIke) all available stars!
