DO NOT under any circumstances use this brokerage, particularly for rentals. They play a nifty little game where they tell you you have a deal on rent to get you to fill out an application. After they charge you the $50 application fee, they tell you they've received a higher offer and won't refund your application fee. Both the agent Kelly Virbickas and the vice president of the brokerage, Kevin McDuffie, said this is common practice in their brokerage. I've filed a complaint against the agent and the brokerage with the DC licensing administration. Hopefully, they'll put an end to these kinds of deceptive practices. My experience is that ethical dealings are not valued at this brokerage. This agency does not honor the rent stated on your application if a higher offer comes in after yours, but they charge you the application fee anyway. This practice has nothing to do with market competitiveness and everything to do with ethics. Choose one of the many brokerages that follow best practices by honoring applications in the order in which they are received. Update 8/18/15: As further evidence of the ethics lacking in this brokerage's business practices, they are now holding my refund hostage unless I remove my posts regarding their conduct. Judge for yourself if you're considering business with these people: "We have done nothing wrong but we have decided the company will reimburse you for the 50.00 you paid if you remove the negative post on google or any other website. You refrain from defaming the company and our agents. And sign a release we will have a check cut in your name for 50.00." - Kevin McDuffie, BVP DuPont Circle
