Over ten years ago I met Sally through a mutual friend. When I had decided to purchase a condo, I didn't hesitate to contact her.  She was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire process. She walked me through every step and answered every silly question I had. She was extremely attentive to my wants and needs and together she found me the perfect place. I lived there for several years but when I moved in with my (now) husband, I decided to rent my property and once again didn't hesitate to call on Sally. Citylights did an absolutely wonderful job managing my property.  From finding responsible tenants to general maintenance, their property management was excellent. They took care of every detail and I never worried about a thing. So when my husband and I decided to move to a larger place, we once again called on Sally and Citylights to manage his condo, too.  When we decided to sell my property this past fall, Citylights once again, proved they were the best. They had my condo painted, cleaned, staged and ready to show in a matter of days!  One open house and a few offers later, I was closing on my condo about a month and a half after deciding to sell.  The process was fast, smooth and stress free.  We went full circle...Sally...Citylights and me!  Citylights is still managing our second property and will do so until the day we decide to sell.  I can't say enough positive things about Citylights.  The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, professional and attentive. I know they have a ton of clients but they always make me feel like I'm their ONLY client and which speaks volumes. I wouldn't think twice about referring a friend or family member to Citylights..whether it's purchasing a home, renting, selling or property management.

Citylights Realty (Sally Hamidi and Jose Lizama) did a fantastic job arranging the rental of our house in Bloomingdale. The process was managed in such a smooth, fast, efficient and professional manner that it truly took all the stress out of what was previously (before we hired Citylights) a rather stressful exercise. 

Living out of the country always complicates matters. But Citylights’ process of communication has been exceptional; we always felt very well informed and never felt the need to chase up the status or check things were getting done. Jose and Sally were always taking the initiative; we were really impressed with this and it indicates a level of care and attention that distinguishes exceptional customer service. 

We came to Citylights with less than a month before vacancy. But they reassured us that they could rent our house in two weeks to good tenants and at our price. And they delivered! The speed at which the property was arranged for market was really impressive; collecting keys from the tenants, having the house very nicely photographed, getting it listed on various mediums and holding an open house, all within a few days of being signed up.

In addition to the excellent personal service we received from both Sally and Jose, we also found that Citylights’ documentation and processes were very simple and efficient. The prospect tenant packages that were sent to us were clear, concise and contained all the information we needed to make an informed decision, without being overwhelming, and thus confusing. Being able to sign everything electronically was helpful for us given our overseas locale.

We have hired Citylights Realty to manage the rental of our property and feel very assured that we are in the best of hands.

Renewed my lease for year #2!  Why?  Because everyone at CityLights ROCKS!!  I feel cared for and taken care of whenever I've had any issues in my apartment, though it's mostly been maintenance free.  The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty and they always get back to me the same day, if not the same hour, if I have any questions.  Truly the best service I could ever ask for.  They make it hard to find a reason to leave : )

Previous Review:  In a town full of slum lords, it was truly refreshing to find a place that was professionally managed. Citylights and its staff are awesome! They went above and beyond to ensure I moved into a place that was clean, functional and were very responsive with any questions I had. It was a smooth process with the application and lease and they made sure there were no glitches on my move in date because this building can be pretty strict. It is truly reassuring to have finally found a place that is properly managed. Their large pool of properties also made me feel reassured that I'm working with professionals. I've had dealings with other realtors and everyone at citylights was extremely helpful and accommodating. I *love* my apartment and will definitely renew my lease!!

My relationship with CityLights began in 2009 when I was offered a job transfer to another state.  I had owned my DC condo only a year and had insufficient equity in the home to sell it at that time.  I was told by a large real estate company that I would be unable to sell or feasibly rent it, and that I would probably be unable to accept the transfer.  I approached Sally Hamidi at CityLights and she told me that my property was in a highly desirable area and would indeed fetch an acceptable rent.  After two weeks and several showings, she secured me a tenant and I was able to move to South Carolina.  While in South Carolina, CityLights handled the rent collection and all maintenance issues in an efficient and professional manner.  Finally, when I decided to sell the condo in 2013, her company found a buyer within a couple of weeks, got me a good price, and coordinated with my lender, the condo association and the buyer's agent to make sure the sale went through without issue.  Doing business with Sally has been a real pleasure.  She simply handles everything, with lightning speed and total professionalism.  I highly recommend her company to anyone in the DC area looking to buy, sell, rent or manage real estate.  Both as a property manager and as a real estate agent, she is absolutely first-rate.
