Story

Colletta's cuisine draws influence largely from Northern Italy, presenting new interpretations of Italian cuisine alongside traditional favorites. The restaurant promises excellence from its kitchen, featuring a wood-fire pizza oven, grills and rotisseries, alongside an ever-changing, seasonal menu of pizzas, pastas and small plates curated by executive chef Jason Stern. Staying true to its Italian roots, Colletta’s “For the Table” menu offers family-style options for a personalized, communal dining experience. A full menu is also available a la carte.

Surrounded by white brick, butcher tables, and an open kitchen, diners may order a la carte or family style. Colletta offers updated classic Italian cocktails and expertly selected wines. Colletta is located in Avalon, Alpharetta, GA’s premier lifestyle destination.

I stopped by for Dinner a few days ago while taking a break from a project and it was my first time eating here. This restaurant is only getting 4 stars because of my server, that's entirely it. The food portion size was very small and bland, I wasn't too impressed. How ever, I will NOT forget who my server was because, he brightened my day, his name was Irvin. He was very hospitable and seemed very interested in my needs, I could tell he actually cared and that it wasn't just a front like other servers portray. Even when Irvin was clearing the table he had the proper manners, "pardon my reach" "Is there anything else I can get you". He hit every step of service. One thing that I noticed though is that one of the managers in this establishment micro manages, I witnessed it with my own eyes. I have a bachelors in business, first thing my professor told the entire class is that micro management is how you destroy your reputation as a leader. Obviously they hire average joes with no education to be leaders but luckily I found the diamond in the rough and that was Irvin. Good job young man.

Our server Amir was very personable and had a great attitude. The meatballs were fantastic as always, and the fresh ravioli was loved by my fiancee. They made our anniversary very special. We will be back.

Great atmosphere & setting for an authentic Italian gathering. The wait staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and good wine accompaniments. We did the "table" option. It is a three course with 3 wine pairing selection. The amount of food that came out was impressive. All items had good portion sizes, and several selections for each course. They make their pasta in house. It is light & perfectly done. This restaurant has an upscale price tag, but I highly recommend it for foodies, a special night out, or to feel special.

Food was okay. It was over-priced for what they serve you. It seemed as though they were trying too hard to be fancy. Service was alright. Our server wanted to upsell my wife on a martini and she enjoyed his recommendation, but when the server dropped off the check he made an off-handed comment about the martini was cheaper than the one she originally tried to order and he should have just got her that one. Come on guy, it's okay to think it (I've been a server, I get it), but don't say it to your customer.
