I've been here for 24 years. I have never ever had any problems with the Colorado Springs Police Department or the sheriffs department. If you lived anywhere else especially as a black person you would understand how much peace and love these cops offer in the city compared to other places. I have even gone so far as to send gift cards to police officers that have helped me over the years. I have even taken a basket full of homemade baked goods to the fire department. Colorado Springs Police Department and fire departments are the bomb if you say anything different you're an idiot.

Great, fast service and extremely professional. My family is safer with officers like D. Mork on duty.

Went on vacation to North Carolina and about halfway there my tail light went out we didn't even think about it until we got back to the springs. I got a $70 ticket in the springs and a "try to get that fixed as soon as possible" in North Carolina.

I've lived in the Springs my whole life. On more than one occasion, cops have told me that filing a report or anything like that "won't do any good" and if the police can't help me, then who can? I feel really helpless most of the time. They just need to step their game up. Small things can turn in to big ones, and they wait for that to happen instead of just addressing issues head on.
