We love Colter Bay!  The staff at check-in were top notch, friendly and very helpful.  Our site was easy to find and everything was as we expected.  This place is rustic and in the woods and offers you lots of things to do.  You have incredible views, hiking paths that are easy to navigate, the lake you can visit, a store you can shop at, a very small Starbucks for your coffee fix, and a laundry that is the best we've been to yet.  WiFi is available, but only at the laundromat and the little restaurant on site.  Note that many places close for the season about now before you visit.  We will go back to Colter Bay!

We used our National Park Pass for a discount.  Great location in Grand Tetons.  We camped in an RV.  The campsite is rustic; dirt sites, a picnic table, and towering trees, which I think most people would expect camping in a National Park, and it took a bit to level.  There are plumbed toilets but no showers, however, nearby there are showers for $4.50.  Also nearby there is a grocery store that has good prices and selection, nice gift shop, laundromat, showers, a visitor center, restaurant, and the marina.  There is no over air TV or WiFi and Verizon and AT&T did not work at the campground.  Throughout the Grand Tetons one can sometimes get a Verizon signal.  There are bear boxes to store food goods throughout the campground.

The sites are tight -- longer RV's will work at getting in the site.  Unlevel -- took a lot of cribbing to level our TT out.  All that, and 5 stars?   YES.  Camped under the pines, next to the lake, which we swam in by the way.  57 degrees F.  Brisk!   The smell of the pines, the view, the local...nothing better.   Will be back. Love the Tetons.

The location is terrific and staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed all the park offered here. Sites are a little tight and not very level. But I'd stay again.

Had a great stay here!!  We lucked out and snagged a cancellation.  I did not make it to the office but my husband spoke very highly of Penny!  The campground was clean (did not use bathrooms), easy walk to  beach, decent sized sites, and full hook ups...which was a welcome change of pace for us.  We did not have trouble maneuvering here but u could tell other rigs had by damage to trees and campground signs.  Will definitely stay again!
