This quaint and peaceful place is only as peaceful as it's clientele. The owner treats the historic property like her own home and her heart for her guests is the same...you're a new friend...a guest in her home. The same person at the front desk, sets up the continental breakfast and handles any issue a guest has. Those of us who are return clients gladly clean up after ourselves and leave common areas better than we found them. That's how we show our appreciation for the peace.

My stay at the Colts Neck Inn Hotel was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The mattress was a little firm for my liking but it was in good shape. The continential breakfast was kept stocked the entire time. I will definitely be staying there again.

It's like stepping back in history to a quiet, quaint little hotel. The lobby has bicycles that you can borrow for an afternoon ride, a couple sized for children. The decor is lots of beautiful woodwork on the walls, stairs, and floors of course. I rented a room for an out-of-state visitor and was very happy with my choice, as we're they. I may treat myself to a room just to get away one day.

The food was excellent. Service was not. Waited for over 20 min for our bill with credit card at end of table waitress,host & bus boy passed it by at least a dozen times till we finally called someone over. Will also probably ask for a table away from the bar next time (lots of foul language while trying to enjoy a nice dinner).Room was nice & clean but nothing special.

On the plus side it was quiet with good internet speed (30Mb). It's quaint and a bit musty. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Morning continental breakfast was about out of everything but was being replenished as I was leaving. They need to pay closer attention to those details. Bottom line is you get what you pay for....it's not the Hilton!
