The Columbia in Tampa’s Historic Ybor City was founded in 1905 and is Florida’s Oldest RestaurantSM. Additional locations include St. Armands Circle in Sarasota, the Historic District in St. Augustine, Sand Key on Clearwater Beach, Central Florida's town of Celebration, the Columbia Cafe on the Riverwalk in Tampa and the Columbia Restaurant Cafe at Tampa International Airport.

All Columbia locations are owned and operated by 4th and 5th generation members of the founding family; except for Columbia Restaurant Cafe at Tampa International Airport, which is operated in partnership with HMSHost.

Friends took us here while on vacation in the area and we were blown away. Absolutely fantastic food and staff. Cafe con Leche was amazing, I had 3! Everything we had was fantastic. I would say that this is a must stop when coming through the Tampa area. We didn't get to experience dinner, but I'm sure it is just as amazing. Very cool atmosphere, and vibe. The only thing that may be a minor gripe, was that lunch took forever. We did have 7 adults at the table, so I'm not blaming the restaurant at all. I was on vacation anyways.

Had a fairly large group of us on a business trip recently and stopped in to this restaurant. I've been there once before with my wife on vacation, and remembered really liking it. This was actually years ago. It hasn't really changed. The food and the service are still outstanding. There's a really wide variety of dishes to choose from. So, everyone should be able to find something they like. They have a mix of Spanish and Cuban dishes. Being that it's in Florida, obviously there's a lot of seafood as well. But there are other dishes that are not Seafood if you like that instead. They start out with a large chunk of crusty bread with some whipped butter that was really good. I would definitely suggest some of their tableside prepared sangria as well. This is an historic restaurant, and you can tell by looking at it when you get inside especially. This place is enormous, so they can take really large groups of people if you need it. There was a gentleman playing piano with someone accompanying him. The place is a little loud because it was it's so popular and there's so many people, but they do limit The Noise by having separate rooms for the seating. If you're in the Tampa area, this is definitely some place that should be on your list to try. There are also a number of funky bars and cigar shops along the street that you can try after you have dinner. The Columbia Restaurant also has a pretty sizable gift shop as well as all sorts of stuff you can purchase. It's really kind of a destination place. You can certainly dress casually or dress nicely. I don't think you would feel out of place either way.

4/19/18 FOX NEWS (N.Y. City) commentator said that Columbia Restaurant Tampa, FL is her husband's favorite restaurant in the world! FOX has great taste. THANK YOU for your giving to the brave McDonald's manager who turned in the Seminole Heights murder suspect! I've been eating at the Columbia for 30 yrs. Being Hispanic I can tell you it is wonderful Spanish food.

Fabulous food with so many options that it is hard to choose! Portions are very generous. Great ambiance. It feels like the established location that it is - intimate and fun at the same time. Always good service. We had our wedding reception here and loved every minute!

We love the Colombia Restaurant. If you have not been here, then you are missing out. I had their paella, and it was amazing. We also really enjoy their signature salad "1905 Salad". This is a must buy when you visit the Colombia restaurant. Servers are great and very attentive, and the place is gorgeous.
