I was excited to try out a local soul food restaurant, but I was a little underwhelmed with the experience. I am from Texas and my broader family is from Louisiana, and we know good food. Walked in to a dimly lit dining room, looks like they didn't have all the lights on for breakfast. They had one server/waitress on duty managing the counter and waiting tables. Thus, service was a little slow and scatter brained. The food came out hot and looked good. Taste was OK. Grits are usually served slightly thick, but creamy where I'm from. But these grits were runny and super creamy. Didn't appeal to me. But what I did appreciate was that I had Wings, Grits and 2 pancakes for less than $8. And for the great cost alone, I would come back and eat again. Decent food, modest service, and good facilities. A place to try.

Very accommodating, charming staff with great hospitality! Very clean, good parking. Food was was so comforting and the sweet tea was the best in Florida! Highly recommended! Having traveled 17 1/2 hours, of all the places to put on our list we had to make sure we went here! Keep up the great work!

If you are looking for good soul food this is the place. I found out about this place oct. 2017 and I’ve been eating here since. It’s worth the money. Service is quick lemonade cake and lemonade is my favorite. Makes me wanna go there now and if you do I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

This was my first time here with my family and we really enjoyed the food! Well cooked, full of flavor, and for a good price. Alaina was so sweet and served us well. When we come back to Tampa I'll definitely come again.

Homemade home style soulful food. I'm in love with this food. Perfectly seasoned food. Clean place. Eat in, or take out. No comment on the rest room. Highly recommend the food.
