For the first few months my mom was under Community Pharmacy, they only billed for acetaminophen. Then they finally billed for all of her medications but never billed the insurance company. It took two more months of me contacting them before price adjustments and insurance payments started showing on the invoices. Community Pharmacy continued sending full-price invoices for the first two months of medications they had provided. My guess is that by the time they finally acted, they were probably precluded from billing mother's insurance. I responded to the invoices every month, spoke to representatives numerous times, provided documentation which they repeatedly claimed to never receive. I even wrote to the owner. Finally, I was given the direct email from someone in the accounting department and provided documentation directly to an actual person. Even after that, the ONLY response I have ever received from Community Pharmacy is another retail price bill for those first two months. Mother died nearly two years ago, and Community Pharmacy still sends the same bill every month, providing a fresh reminder of the suffering my mother went through her last year on Earth.

The billing department for this pharmacy is a complete disaster. Getting in contact with them could be compared to an "act of congress". They say they'll call you back and then don't for extended periods of time. They also don't bill consistently, it took them 2 months to send the first bill and more than a month to send the second. We discontinued them as our pharmacy but they seem to ignore that fact and send meds to the care facility any way and then bill us for them. Additionally, the meds that we were billed for were incorrect and very expensive when compared to other pharmacies! There are much better options out there, be an informed consumer!
