Great places to shop they sell quality products the store is laid out well and is well lit. The Pharmacy prices cannot be beat I think the staff back there could be a little friendlier, once they had me sit there for 3 hours waiting on one prescription while they called back and forth between the doctor's office even though I had the prescription in hand. Totally ridiculous and uncalled for. I enjoy the idea of having a bite to eat on my way out but I think they could bring the quality of the food up a little bit often times the pizza there looks like it's been sitting out for a couple hours and they always try to Pawn off the worst of it to you to the point that you have to speak up and say I'm not buying that give me a decent slice.

I mean, it's a discount wholesaler. It's nice. The selection is good. Be prepared to deal with the zombie horde though if you go on a Sunday. While Costco is nice, the customers seem to lose all sense of sharing space as the meander isles while their children orbit their carts noisily. The stores are clean and well stocked. My one suggestion to Costco is put all the sample people off in one corner. That way the customers who gravitate to them can all inconvenience each other and leave the rest of us to shop in piece.

So, I am an Open Carry advocate, I was just asked to leave the Costco in Independence, Mo. for having my fire arm on me at the time of shopping. To clarify, I am not upset in the fact that I was asked to leave. I was informed that I could not have the fire are in the center very rudely. When I explained that I was unaware of that rule and that there were no signs on the doors, the associate rude interrupted me to tell me it was in the members agreement. That's were the second problem was. I was put on another individuals membership, I even took the picture for my members card with my fire arm on me. Openly displayed for all to see, and they still never told me about this rule. So I never saw a copy of the members agreement and was never told in till that point that I could not have my fire arm in the center. Once again I am not upset that they prefer not to have fire arms in there. But if I was causing no trouble and was clearly in aware of this rule there was no reason to be rude about it. I even apologised for not knowing and was willing to go put the fire arm in the car. Then management was also rude at the customer service line when I had some questions. Over all I will not be going back and will be taken off the membership. Just too rude for my taste. I would also like to mention that I had been shopping with them for a full year a few years back and always had my fire are on me and was never told then either.

I really enjoy shopping at Costco! They carry many organic products we use on a regular basis. The employees are friendly and helpful. The aisles are wide and clean. The store is large enough to get some of my "walking" in! It is a fun and interesting place to go! Plus....we save money! !
