Didn't drive in so the parking lot didn't affect me. Room was great, bed is fine. Only 2 years old, enjoyed the hotel. Drugstore and a deli right next door, super convenient. Travel all the time, this hotel is definitely not a 2 or 3 star. Any issues with it are because you are too particular.

Maybe worth 3 stars but I couldn't do it. So as far as front desk staff and everyone we encountered they were great. Asheville can sometimes employ some snobby type folks. Not the case here. Everyone was polite and helpful. The parking lot here is just obnoxious. There isn't actually a parking lot "on site". You have to go around the hotel's side and cross a street to get to the parking lot. It's obvious that there wasn't room here for a hotel and parking lot so they shoe horned in the hotel and bought another lot for parking. It's about a 30-100 yard walk to your car. Not to mention the fact that the parking lot is behind some shady looking shopping center. My wife was far from comfortable walking to the car by herself. So after the long walk to and back from the car the only way to get back into the hotel is the front entrance?! That's annoying. But like I said that shopping center looks shady so I can only assume they are trying to make the place safe. None the less. It's awfully annoying to walk 100+ yards, past 3 doors and have to walk all the way around to the front of the hotel. Just a small thing that adds up after about 2 trips to the car. I couldn't imagine if we had our kids with us or a baby. Now onto the room. This was the worst stay I've had in a long time. At first glance the room was clean. And really it was. This is a new hotel so it hasn't had time to have the normal run down carpet, shower etc you see in some older hotels. So it was clean and well lit. Why was this the worst stay? First off the bed was so uncomfortable. We had a king room. The bed was mediocre at best. The sheets kept coming off the corner in the middle of the night (2 night stay and a problem on both nights). The mattress was super soft to the point where it didn't feel like we were being supported. It sagged. They don't have the typical AC and heat unit under the window which at first seemed nice. They've moved it inside behind an access panel. Once you cut the lights off and the TV off all we could hear was the unit working. Now, we have two small children, that didn't travel with us, and are used to "white noise". This was not a white noise. More like a blood curdling red noise. So needless to say the first night we didn't sleep well at all and by the second we were exhausted and were still not able to rest. They layout of the room was fine. There was a sitting area with a sofa I assume folded out. Two televisions, refrigerator, coffee maker and a clean, well lit bathroom. I can't ever do it again. The only way I would stay here again is if someone else paid for it. Even then I'd try to get them to switch my hotel.

Clean rooms, very pretty friendly, great location, and best of all was the shuttle that drops you off right in town! Then after a day of wandering around town checking out all the awesome breweries, the shuttle brings you right back! No parking hassles, no designated driver needed, just a fun time exploring the town.

Beautiful new property and great staff. I subtracted one star because it is located in a busy shopping center overlooking the interstate and parking is not convenient. We also had a light fixture in our room that rattled when people walked around upstairs. The breakfast was good and everything was very clean. We would stay here again.

Clean rooms, ample space, helpful and friendly staff. This hotel still has a new hotel smell! I was impressed on how attune the staff was to our needs. The breakfast area is well organized and well staff and the sitting area includes s lovely fire pit. A special touch: there is a family breakfast room for those with littles who need toys to play with so their long suffering parents can enjoy breakfast!
