Overall I had quite a nice experience at Downtown Inn. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff i spoke to were polite. I didn't eat while I was at the hotel, but there are several unique and delicious options within walking distance. However, the hotel is centered in a location I would not have been comfortable walking through alone. I didn't have any problems, but the hotel has little to no security before you reach individual rooms. The rooms do have three separate locking mechanisms, but I couldn't shake a slight anxiety. However, the experience I had was certainly pleasant and I have no complaints beyond my own fears.

If you're looking here, you're probably looking for a great location at a good price. That's exactly what this is. It's not fancy, but it is clean, which is exactly what we were looking for. We weren't looking for something fancy and weren't disappointed with this hotel. Breakfast has several options including waffles, cereal, breakfast sandwiches and yogurt. Pleased with what we are getting for the price.

Super cool hotel/motel located in the heart of downtown Ashville. Stayed here with my band while playing at Jack of the Wood, which is just a stone's throw away so that made loading in and out very easy. Definitely recommend for any musician playing in the heart of downtown due to the perfect location, and elevator so you're not carrying gear up and down stairs. Will stay here again. Rooms were not the most modern, or up to date but they are clean, practical and serve their purpose. This place is also pet friendly and has a very cool pool area. Staff was cool, security is very tight.

Recently stayed here, at first glance you see it is dated but what a location! We were able to walk to most downtown locations. So convenient. Although dated, our room was comfortable and clean. The towels were very soft, better than some places I've stayed. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Close to all our favorite places,clean and the staff are super nice! Beds are comfy and the room is a good size. Saved me $400 on four nights when compared to other hotels in the area... I mean why pay DBL at another hotel when you're only sleeping and showering when you're there!?!?
