Story

Cox Camping offers campers a good time! We are set up for tent camping and RV's. We also have a 2 bedroom cottege, a bunk house that is ready to sleep 10 people, and three trailers with electric and AC. All campsites have water, electric (extra $5) fire pit, a table and benches, . We have trails, a kids play area, horse shoe pits with lights for night time, and Karaoke on Fri and Saturday nights. The only place I've ever stayed with an RV that is really in the woods. Up a long road into the mountains. Once you've parked you are surrounded by trees not by other people the place is large. But it does have food. Love it

It's definitely NOT a KOA. It IS as advertised...rustic camping. You can get water and 30 amp electrical hookups....but no full hookups. The dump stations are SUPER easy to use and clean. Stunning views in the middle of wooded mountains. You will not get phone service, you will not have WiFi. You WILL have super friendly staff (Hi, Gary), and a clean campsite. If using the toilets...use the GRAY port-pot, it's a flush toilet inside!!! Disclaimer...we are two over 40s adults and do not have kids. We did notice a play area for kids, but did not look too closely at what was offered. Our goal was to be in the outdoors and do little to nothing. This place fit that bill nicely. There are really no nearby towns for shopping if you've forgotten something, so make sure you bring what you need. There is a store of some sort at the Main Lodge, however we did not go into it and cannot comment on what IS available. They do sell firewood on site at a reasonable price. We would return to this campground.

Always have a great time here. Enjoyed the weekend with family and at the Apple Butter Festival. Hope to maybe sneak back up before Thanksgiving. Nice mountain views as well.

This was an awesome campground! Not like any other I have ever been to. The people are really nice and you get to pick your own campsite. They have an awesome little petting zoo. The owners made everything at the campground themselves, they are very creative. I would recommend this campground to anyone.
