Crazy Alan's Swamp Shack is home to the best seafood dishes in Houston and Kemah. A lot of locals and tourists across Texas stop by our restaurants whenever they visit these cities to experience our unique cooking. We offer a huge selection of your favorite lunch and snacks from crawfish or shrimp etouffee to blackened chicken pontchartrain. Apart from year round crawfish dishes, we also serve Cajun seafood, crocodile eggs, and many other local delicacies. the food was okay, a little pricey. The drinks were good but still, pricey. Went there with my daughter and one of the waitresses were rude to us. We were walking upstairs trying find a table for a b day dinner we were having there and she said we had to wait outside when it was raining. I told her we have a problem now because my little girl is not going back out into the rain and asked for a manger. The manager was nice and got us seated and we ended up having a pretty decent b day dinner for my father in law. Only reason why it didn't get 1 star. Hire nicer waitresses.

My wife and I always love this place when we go. There may be a bit of a wait but it's well worth the wait.  The food is good and hot with an interesting presentation.  The staff is eager to please with guns, playful and out-going personalities. My all time favorite member of their wait staff is Rodney.  With his on-point serving skills, personable attitude, and sense of urgency, the guy has to be the best waiter I have ever had, any where or any time.. FULL STOP.. 
Do yourself and a friend or two a favor and check Crazy Alan's out. And don't forget to ask for Rodney as your server.

My first time there and was very disappointed.  The food was good, but, service, wow!  Most places would not still be open.  Wait staff finishing off beers and cocktails after customers leave, disorganization everywhere.  We had to wait an hour to be seated, they were busy, I understand.  However, we could see dozens of empty tables and dozens of people waiting,  there didn't seem to be any rush to seat and serve people. Once we were seated, our waiter did take our drink order quickly, however, when he took our food order, he had to come back on more than one occasion to verify what we ordered.  When our order arrived, we only received half of what we ordered.  When we asked, we were told that the other half of our order was sent to another table.  What's up with that???  Again the waiter had to come back more than once to verify the order then tell us it had to be re cooked.  The food we did get was good, served hot, and good flavor, however the overall service does not want me to return.  Service and quality combined are what I look for in a good restaurant.  Not what I saw here.  I'll need convincing to go back.

Great for beer drinking and people watching. Love to watch fat gross people stuff their faces,dragging their kids around. Parking sucks.I guess it is o k. If you like watching Alvins' finest remind you of why there should be laws governing breeding.

The crawfish is amazing, although we waited an hour to get seated even though there were plenty of empty tables that they could have seated people with. The absolute worst part is that we had a table of 4 so the check was split into 4. My dad paid for 2 of the bills cash about ($70) and my sister and I paid about $35 each on cards with us both leaving a pretty good tip. The waiter still took the $70 in cash plus the tip and ended up charging me my bill PLUS my dad’s bill and I only signed the $35 bill! And every time I call the restaurant to follow up it automatically hangs up or goes to voicemail. After a week it showed that the charge had disappeared. A staff member offered a free appetizer (because conveniently all of the managers were “busy” at the time i was charged) but the trust is lost with the servers especially when it is busy. I feel I’d constantly have to check to make sure the staff is doing their job to make sure it doesn’t happen again. I know how the food industry is used to work in it but that was unacceptable.
