Awesome gym! The owners are great people and they run an amazing gym. I've been training here for a year and my wife for about six months and we love it. There's a great sense of community and we’ve made a lot of friends there. All of trainers/ coaches are amazing and very knowledgeable. They take the time to understand your level of fitness and make sure you're safe and enjoy your workout. Josh and Zack have personally helped take my workouts to another level and work through some injuries I've been dealing with for years. I'm stronger, faster, more flexible and healthier than I have been in years.

Josh & Shelley are two of the smartest coaches I've met in the country. They are teaching CrossFit in a systematized manner, designed to reduce injury and keep athletes healthy. All of my numbers have gone up at least 100lbs since I started training at CrossFit Emerald Isle. Plus, it's amazing to be able to draw on Josh's vast knowledge of the olympic lifts. He has competed at the highest level of the sport, and he's able to translate his years of experiences to improve the form of athletes of all ability levels. If you live on the Crystal Coast, you want to work out here! If you don't, you definitely want to drop in for a visit.

I joined this CFEI shortly after my husband deployed and by the time he came back, I had made some of my very best friends. This gym is so much more than a place to get fit - it's a place where you'll meet tons of great people with similar interests and positive attitudes. At CFEI you'll form friendships that go beyond the gym (beach days, dinner and drinks out, etc...). I am so grateful I joined!

Had a great opportunity to train with Josh Wells during my short visit to the coast. I regret not living closer to the Emerald Isle - I hit and almost surpassed my snatch PR with a few tips from Josh. Oh yeah, I wasn't wearing Olys either. Good gym, great coaching quality. This is a gem of Emerald Isle (a pun intended).

Found this gym when I moved down to Swansboro, NC with my family. Couldn't be happier. The staff, Josh, Shelly, Gillian, & Adrian are awesome. The facility is great, and even better after the new renovations. The WODs are always changing and challenging, and half the gym is dedicated to the lifting aspect if you're into the oly lift stuff. The community and members are super welcoming and very tightly knit, no matter what your skill level is, which is my favorite part of the whole crossfit experience. CFEI is very family and military friendly as well. Prices are great too (coming form the DC metro area). Def worth checking out. Oorah. -Dr. F.
