There is not one positive thing to say about this gym. Filthy, grimy, dirty, broken, run down and poor leadership. AC has been broken for months. HVAC not working. Festering air in there. Zero ventilation. Just waiting for flu or MRSA outbreak. Equipment rows are in disarray. Nothing is lined up. Upholstery pads are all cracked and split. Pads are falling off of benches. Equipment always broken. Seldom tagged out of order. Poop stains constantly in toilets. Urinals full of hair and gum. Locker rooms smell like urine. Cleaners hide in locker rooms and watch tv and play on their phones. Management hides in office. They are cancelling kickboxing classes and telling members they don't want to maintain bags,
Area manager Justin doesn't like to come out of the office or take any criticism or ownership of this failing entity in Wilmington. As a member and former employee of Gold's, I complained for months. Positive, constructive criticism to no avail. The solution? Area Manager JUSTIN tasked the only good Manager (Dave Williamson) who coincidentally resigned (of course) to cancel my membership for complaining, Apparently voicing your opinions and offering painful truths but helpful options is not allowed. Micheal Oleander, are you aware you are crashing and burning in WILMINGTON sir?

A lot of the cardio machines or tv's hsve needed repairs. Staff didn't report. I told the maintenance man. As of Fri. the 22nd they were  still broke. Join another  gym. Money is not worth it.b

This review was for Gold's Gym! They have since changed ownership to O2. They will likely ruin it, we'll see...This is the best gym I've been to in Wilmington. I've tried both O2 gyms, the other Gold's locations and visited a crossfit gym or two. Gold's racine has the largest range of hours that fit my schedule. Staff has always been friendly and never over bearing. They have tons of new equipment though I admittedly only need a rack a barbell and a platform of which they now have 4. Love the environment, a lot of people that go there are there to work hard and a lot of them compete. Only thing I would like to see is some different barbells for the powerlifting and olympic moves but admittedly people would damage them so I get just having the beater bars. If I don't get to this golds in the morning my whole day is off, it's essential.

Higher rates than other gyms in area. Unprofessional phone etiquette.

Not a bad gym. Equipment is old and some of it is run down. Especially cardio equipment. I will also repeat what others have said, Be hesitant when signing a contract because it is very hard to get out of it and you'll more than likely have to buy out . :(
