CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program focused on general physical preparedness. General physical preparedness gives us the ability to perform any task that life might throw at us. We believe in training for the unknown and unknowable.
Whether you are a first responder, athlete, parent or even grandparent doesn't matter. In life we need to be ready to perform at any given moment. Whether you have to sprint all of a sudden, quickly pick up your child, lift something heavy once, or something light a lot of times doesn't matter. We need to be able to do these things at any given moment without hesitation. In CrossFit we take these tasks like the ones just mentioned and mix them in different ways. The physical preparedness of a first responder should be no different then that of a parent.
