I started working out with Chris a year ago. At that time I was recovering from cervical surgery (TDR and a Fusion) of the C5 and C7 discs. When I started I was out of shape, overweight, and in a lot of pain. Even worse many doctors told me that there wasn't much that I could do to be active because of the surgery I had. Chris laid out a specially-designed program to help me strengthen those muscles that had become extremely weak from the surgery and get me back on track to living a normal life! He also showed me that the pain I had was not lingering pain from surgery or my neck issue. It was actually atrophy of the muscles that had become inept from the time spent doing nothing. A big thanks to Chris! Now I am in the best shape of my life and, I feel better than ever. Pheonix Athletic Club is more than just a CrossFit gym! It's a family starting with Chris all the way down to the members! Best way to start your work day with a 5AM class baby!!

Chris is an excellent coach!! He has a lot of experience and really cares about helping you achieve your personal goals. He always goes that extra mile to make sure you understand the workouts.

I have been going here for 2 months now...since then, I have dropped 13 pounds, hit new PRs on all of my lifts, and have learned how to properly work out and use good form. The trainers are TOP notch and work you hard but don't sacrifice form in the process. I could not be happier.
