Great gym with awesome people

I was looking for something different in a workout. Something that changed and pushed you every time. After looking at CrossFit online, it looked pretty intimidating. It seemed like everyone was in incredible shape, and I hadn't seriously worked out in 2 years+. The owner's invited me in to try the two-week Ramp-Up that introduces you to CrossFit, the terminology, and the proper techniques... and gets your heart pumping again. I was surprised to see not only "fit" and "strong" people, but women and men a decade older than me (and I'm over 40) pushing through the workouts and modifying to meet their needs. The coaches encourage you along the way, and actively focus on you, us newbies and the veterans to make sure you understand the workouts and advise on proper form or modifications of the moves. I'm on my second month, and glad I made the decision to walk through the door. I attend in the mornings, but schedules are such that you can get your workouts in easily. You've just got to make the decision to get out of bed (off the couch) and start. The coaches are down-to-earth and easy to approach. I haven't seen any egos or posturing.. it seems like a great community and I look forward to meeting others as I progress through my path. I'm enjoying it and already feeling the positive effects. I recommend that if you are considering it, stop in and ask about the Ramp-Up, you'll be glad you did.

I really enjoy going to CrossFit Polaris! For years I've struggled with finding a healthy lifestyle that works for me and CrossFit is it. I don't dread going to the gym like I use to. The community is unreal and coaching staff is second to none. I would highly recommend giving CrossFit Polaris a chance when taking the next step to Health & Wellness :)
