I recently bought a car from the Crown Buick dealership in St. Petersburg.  Since I saw the vehicle on the internet, and live about 1,600 miles away, I called and spoke to the sales person and asked about the general condition of the vehicle.  I was assured that the vehicle was in excellent condition and did not have any cosmetic or mechanical issues.  I was told it went through the multi-point safety inspection and everything was good.  The car looked great.
So, based on his assessment, I bought the vehicle sight unseen and made plans to fly to Tampa, meet my salesperson at the airport, and drive the car back to Ohio.
When I got to the airport I was greeted by my salesperson and we went to the car.  I was excited and the first thing I did was put the top down.  All looked good and started my drive back.
After the first 15 minutes of driving my "light bulb" indicator went off.  Apparently I had a burnt light bulb (turned out to be 2.)  No big deal...I can take care of that when I get home.
After about 4 hours I pulled into a gas station to refuel and decided to put my back-pack in the trunk.  I open the trunk and it slams shut on me.  The hydraulic struts that support the trunk were shot.  At some point I am sure someone opened the trunk and must have noticed this issue.  I wasn't informed of that.
After about 8 hours of driving it started to get cold so I pulled into a gas station to refuel and put the top up.  When I got back in the car I noticed that the head-liner was detached from the roof.  It was laying on my head.  Again, this should have been disclosed since it is an "obvious" issue with the condition of the vehicle.  No one informed me of this.
As I continued to drive with the head-liner resting on my head, I wanted to wash off my windshield an tried to use my windshield fluid.  The reservoir was empty.  Again, not a big deal but isn't this part of the safety check?
The long of the short is, I had to have all these things repaired when I returned home, over $600 I was not planning on spending.  I have attempted to get some resolution from my sales person and his manager but to date I have not received any answers.
It's a shame, I like the vehicle but WOULD not recommend Crown Cars to anyone.

Tom from Mercedes service department is a very pleasant and knowledgeable rep.

Daniel Bowerman is the person to work with at Crown Euro Cars Mercedes.  He's professional, knowledgeable and a great guy!  He's easy to talk to and listens to his customers.  I enjoyed his personable style and I love my new car.  He has followed up with me and made sure that all of my questions were answered.  I don't think you can get any better than that when it comes to service!!  I totally appreciated all the work he did to make me happy to own a Mercedes Benz!!  He made sure I had a positive experience and I'll be back to see him when I'm ready for another car, I'm sure!!  Thanks Daniel.  Sharon Lee, Seminole, FL
