It seems like this place was nice at one point.. and then no one bothered to update it after that. As soon as we walked in, the fire alarm went off and not one employee even batted an eye. We asked later and they said it was a false alarm, but it didn't seem like they ever checked. The beds were decent enough, but there was a small bug in the room, so it didn't feel as clean as most hotel rooms do. Then the next morning at breakfast there were tons of gnats on all the buffet food that wasn't covered. Though, to be fair, the spread was varied and the food did taste good. Just make sure to grab the fresh stuff as soon as it comes out. Also, the elevator was clunky, the vending machines only took cash, and the hotel restaurant staff was inattentive. If you only need one night and get a good deal, not the worst hotel but I'm sure you could find much better.

Very nice. Nice evening bell hop/parking. Underground self parking on the back side. Elevators use hotel room "key." My room really heated up in the daytime when I pulled open the curtains. Self contained A.C./Heater unit. Sadly, the pool was closed, but it looked pretty

Clean rooms, pleasant staff, quite a large spread for the breakfast buffet. A bit pricey. In a blue collar-low income part of town but it's a port town so what can you expect. Pool was being closed but they offered a free ride to the Double Tree to use their pool. Didn't take them up on their offer but a nice accommodation nonetheless.

Outdated sweat box. They have no virtually no air conditioning. The hallways were 90 degrees. Their response was to open the windows to the 100 degree outside. The room c1970 air conditioners haven’t been updated since they installed and simply don’t work. Had to change rooms twice to find one that came close to working. They are “green” which means they turn off the air conditioners in the rooms so when you get in them it’s too late for the crappy ac units to cool them down. Manager was indifferent. Obviously this is a common complaint if you look at all the reviews. If you actually need sleep when you go to a hotel then go somewhere else. If you want to pay $150 to sweat in bed, then this is the unmaintained sauna box for you.

I'm really not a very picky person, but what a dive. Ice machines are on only half the floors and half of them don't work. Worn out everything. I think I counted at least six "out of order" signs on various items. On one elevator no buttons work at all. Plan on having to swipe your key card 10 times before your door will unlock. No staff in sight. Although I did get help from "Gregory" when he saw me frustrated about ice. Looks like management stopped caring about 10 years ago.
