I am all for supporting independent bookstores, but I'm a graduate student and the siren song of Amass lures me so. But I've been fighting the habit since I've moved out west (from the east coast) to Costa Mesa, and Crystal Cave is amazing. They always order the weird obscure books I want and get them in remarkably fast. Many a time they've told me I'd have to wait a week or so, only to have them call me to come in days later. Plus, a trip there is an excuse for more books, as many as will fit in my bike basket. So though they be small, they sure are mighty.

The customer service at Crystal Cave has gotten so much better in the last few months. It's helpful without being bothersome or annoying. I go in a couple times a month on average and now I am always greeted by someone when I walk in. And if I'm wandering aimlessly, like I do sometimes, I'm often asked if I need help finding something.

Interesting place. Picked up some sage here on my mission to cleanse my home of any negative energy. They have a wide selection of magical things :)
