My Mom and I had unforeseen circumstances and needed storage ASAP! We drove to at least 3 Storage’s before we came to this one and let me tell you the manager Ashly was amazing! Her customer service was above and beyond. She was very patient with us since we didn’t know what size we needed. She helped us book the free 2 hr truck and driver along with helping us purchase the moving kit that came in very handy. She even helps my mom who constantly needs help with the access code because she’s not tech savvy. If we don’t see Ashly we go to Joyce who is always kind and courteous. Thank you CubeSmart for employing individuals that can help people like me and my mother under desperate times.

I have stored with this company for over 2 years and I would think at the end of our business relationship would be one of appriciation and accommodation to a loyal customer. I am a gentrification survivor who was forced out of my residence by a greedy developer. I even recieved financial assistance from a city agency to cover some costs for about 6 months however out of 2 years that left me paying 18 months out of pocket. I have experienced good great and horrible customer service. According to Inderia although I am only utilizing a week and not a full 4 weeks of service I am still charged a full months rent including a late fee as the company doesn't prorate. I feel thats very unreasonable to charge customers especially customers who have been with the company for years for time that they are not using the unit and I am happu to be consolidating my belongings and moving them to a company that does prorate and ONLY CHARGES ITS CUSTOMERS FOR THE TIME ACTUALLY USED. IF I USE 25% OF THE MONTH THATS WHAT I PAY NOT 100% PLUS A LATE FEE. I TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT I WAS ATTEMPTING TO PAU AFTER I GOT OFF WORK LAST NIGHT AT 9 ONLINE HOWEVER AS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE RECORDS WILL CONFIRM THEIR SYSTEM WAS ACTING UP AND I HAD TO SPEAK TO A REP FOR A LENGTHY TIME TO ACTUALLY ACCESS THE ACCOUNT HOWEVER I WAS TOLD BY INDERIA THAT THAT'S NOT THE STORE PROBLEM AND THAT SHE COULD NOT WAIVE THE LATE FEE EVEN THOUGH SHE IS AWARE THAT I AM ONLY USING 6 DAYS OF STORAGE OUT OF THE MONTH AND SHE ALSO IS AWARE OF THE SYSTEM ISSUE I EXPERIENCE WHICH IS A LIE BECAUSE I HAVE PERSONALLY HAD OTHER REPS REMOVE FEES PROVIDING CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT'S GEARED TOWARDS ACTUALLY SERVING THE NEEDS OF A CUSTOMER VS SOLELY THE PROFITS OF THE COMPANY AT THE EXPENSE OF QUALITY SERVICE. I AM A FULL TIME STUDENT AND ITS THE HOLIDAYS FOR PETE SAKE I WAS THROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE BLATEN DISREGARD AND UNAPPRICIATION EXPRESSED BY INDERIA. TO SERVE CUSTOMERS EFFICIENTLY EVERY REP SHOULD LISTEN AND EMPATHIZE THE UNIQUE SITUATION OF THEIR CUSTOMERS BECAUSE EACH CUSTOMER IS UNIQUE AND HAVE UNIQUE CIRCUMSTANCES. I WOULD THINK THATS WHY PEOPLE ARE HIRED TO HANDLE PEOPLE OR ELSE A COMPUTER COULD EASILY REPLACE HER WHICH WOULD PROFIT THE COMPANY IF PROFITS ARE THEIR SOLE PURPOSE. I FELT LIKE I WAS SPEAKING TO A ROBOT AND NOT AN ACTUAL PERSON AS SHE JUST REPEATED THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER WITHOUT ANY EMPATHY TOWARDS A LOYAL CUSTOMER. I AM HAPPY THAT THIS BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP IS ENDING AND UNREASONABLE FEES AND ROBOTIC SERVICE BY OTHER HUMANS ARE A THING OF MY PAST. AS I AM SURE MY FUTURE TRANSACTIONS WITH MORE EXPERIENCED CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS WILL BE RESONABLE AND PLEASANT FROM BEGINNING TO END. SO TO BE CLEAR I AM CHARGED 90 DOLLARS FOR A STORAGE LOCKER FOR 6 DAYS OF SERVICE DURING. AWESOME WAY TO SAY THANKS FOR BEING A CUSTOMER AT CUBESMART EAST N.Y. AVE LOCATION IN BROOKLYN. ONE BAD APPLE SURLY CAN SPOIL THE BUNCH IF LEFT IN THE BASKET WITH THE GOOD APPLES. ON THE WHOLE WITH OTHER HUMANS AT THIS LOCATION I HAVE EXPERIENCED GREAT SERVICE...HOWEVER INDERIA HAS A VERY UNPLEASANT ATTITUDE THAT I IGNORED PRIOR CAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS A HORMONAL ISSUE AS SHE WAS PREGNANT WHEN I BEGIN TO STORE WITH THEM HOWEVER NOW WELL AFTER HAVING A HEALTHY BABY WHO IS PROBABLY WALKING BY NOW SHE IS STILL A SELF ABSORBED SNOB WHO CERTAINLY NEEDS TO TOUCH UP ON HER CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS . TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE ISNT PHONY UNEMPATHETIC AND STIFF INSTEAD ITS FLEXIBLE CALCULATING VIEWING EACH CUSTOMER AS A VALUABLE ASSET TO THE COMPANY. SO I TRUST FURTHER TRAINING WILL BE IMPLEMENTED AND AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE WILL BE INSTILLED INTO INDERIA...HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL

Having visited many storage facilities as a secret shopper, CubeSmart #0102 1151 E. NY Avenue Brooklyn , NY 11212 was a disappointment. Most concerning is the screeching and jolting elevator. Next would be management. I contacted the facility before my departure, informing them it would take me about three hours of travel and my estimated arrival time. I was told by the woman on the phone that they had my information including phone number and that the manager would be there. Traveling through New York City being what it is, it took me longer than I anticipated, but I still felt confident I would make it to the facility before closing. And I did! But when I arrived, I was told the manager had left for the day and that there was nothing they could do for me, I would have to come back tomorrow. I other words, the management had something more important to do then take care of her customers and despite previous confirmation would not notify her appointments of cancellation. I made the what I now realize as a four hour trip back home, got a little sleep, and journeyed back the following day. I arrived to a less the friendly manager, maybe a little annoyed that I had interrupted her personal phone call, "I have to go, I have a customer." Paperwork was processed with minimal words, I was shown to my storage unit and I began the moving process. Carpeted hallways made rolling dollies and carts just a little more difficult. Narrow hallways meant additional disassembly of larger items. And again the elevators creaked and squeaked all the way down. The doors also must have been malfunctioning, as they would close on you and your load as you passed through. Exiting the elevator, the main entry-way cluttered with carts and staged items from others attempting to move. Gridlock! The moving completed, I informed the office my storage unit was empty and ready for their inspection. I continued to load my vehicle and then returned to the office to sign for my security deposit. The manager was working with another customer and the other staff member made no attempt to assist me, so I waited. The manager left the office with the other customer, no acknowledgement of me standing patiently. The other staff member then informed me that only the manager could return my deposit. Seven minutes later, the manager returned, seeming confused to why I was there, even though she had processed my account only a couple hours earlier. With one quick signature, my deposit was returned and the epic of my disappointment came to an end. This experience leads me to believe that even at a higher cost, another storage facility would hold greater value in the long run. And from a little research, a cheaper price not too hard to find. They didn't quite beat W. Springfield Self Storage for the bottom of my list, but their a solid third worst out of 150 surveyed. As Bon Jovi would have sung from across the river in Jersey, "They give CubeSmart a bad name!"

I had a fantastic experience at the storage facility. When my storage situation with another company went south, CubeSmart was able to get me moved out (via moving truck and labor) and into another container with less that two days notice. They went above and beyond make sure that I was happy and that things were easy. The facility is safe and easy to navigate. On top of that, I have access to a van for the first month to continue moving more of my belongings to the facility without a hassle or having to rush. Everyone there is friendly and willing to help they even called the movers on an internal line when I couldn't get in touch and charged my phone when it died so I could call uber. Thank you CubeSmart for making everything so easy.
