Story

You should see the Hills from here! Custer/Mt. Rushmore KOA is your central location for seeing all of the Black Hills. We are in the center of all five major Black Hills attractions: Mount Rushmore National Monument, Crazy Horse Memorial, Jewel Cave National Monument, Wind Cave National Park, and Custer State Park, all within 6 to 22 miles of the campground. We can arrange car rentals or tours with a local tour company that picks you up at your site. Downtown Custer has great restaurants and free live entertainment twice a week on summer evenings. You might even spot General Custer strolling around! After a day of sightseeing, unwind at our tranquil campground among the ponderosa pines, just 3 miles west of Custer. The kids will love our jumping pillow and playground. Seasonal activities (Memorial Day to Labor Day) include a heated pool, (weather permitting). We offer 1 and 2-room camping cabins (No Air Conditioning), 30 and 50-amp pull-thru and back-in sites, and several types of tent sites, from primitive to deluxe. Free Wi-Fi, clean restrooms, an on-site store, laundry ($), dump station, firewood ($), picnic tables, and propane ($) are available. Rates are higher June 30-July 7 and July 31-August 14 (Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Custer Cruisin' dates). No television service is provided. Some sites can receive satellite reception.

Well.kept grounds with clean facilities. Bathrooms and showers are well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Kids enjoyed the jumping pillow and all the rabbits living on the grounds. Very close to the town of Custer if you need to pickup any items. Mountrushmore and crazy horse monuments are close by as well making it a good point to site see from.

Not bad, if you have kids this might be a fun place for them with a bouncy...um... thing and a swimming pool. There are almost no trees whatsoever, but the showers are glorious and very clean, great if you are a weary traveller looking for water pressure.

-Showers/Bathrooms: Very spacious, updated/modern, and clean. Showers stayed very hot and it was one of the nicest KOA bathrooms I've been to! -Pool/Jumping Pillow: Pool is very warm and spacious and jumping pillow is very fun! Only problem is they open late and close very early (7pm!) -Laundry: Very spacious and nice appliances. -Other Ammenities: Dishwashing station was loaded with a modern faucet, soaps, sponges, and racks! -Wifi: HORRIBLE! If you're lucky to connect, you better hurry up because it cuts out about every ten minutes. -Hospitality: Wonderful! They helped us find close attractions, escorted us to our sight, and they opened up spots for us that they were going to close for the season, pushing off the draining of the pool for us. Very nice and real people. They gave us very good reccomendations. I only wish the bathrooms were cleaned twice a day instead of once, if you're planning to get ready in the morning before noon the bathrooms will not have been cleaned for 24 hours and get pretty gross.

Very friendly hosts, clean camp and probably the cleanest bathrooms I've seen. The kids loved the wild bunny's.
