A surprise awaits you at every turn. The landscaping is stunning; rolling hills reminiscent of an English countryside. An abundance of bison roam here. It is extremely exciting to be really close to these beautiful animals; separated only by cattle guards. I have visited numerous parks throughout this country and Custer State Park is by far my favorite. Immense and awe inspiring.

One of the most beautiful state parks I have ever been too. Sylvan lake and the spires were highlights but almost everything is fantastic. Great for rock climbing! The bumped the price up from the last time I went making it $20 to enter which I think is a bit high.

Beautiful. Would highly recommend a drive up to the needle. Wild life everywhere. Great experience... can't wait to see it again next summer!

This is one of the nicest state parks I have been to. Not overdeveloped and hokey like some. Lots of wildlife viewing opportunities. Buffalo herd is a must see. Trail maps somewhat lacking. Other sources have better maps.

This is an awesome South Dakota state park. There is a lot of wildlife to see including Buffalo. There is several lodging places here as well as outdoor camping. We visit this park several times a year.
